ssb Posted February 4 #7 Share Posted February 4 (edited) If you carry on you do not need them at all . medium and carry on size bags fit thru screening machines . Checkin at 1:00 and go straight to cabin for card . Drop bags off yourself. You will not lose bags if you carry them on . If this is confusing, have your kids do it for you. 1

Ashland Posted February 4 #11 Share Posted February 4 We don't bother with all this. Getting them (airline type) at the port works easier for us.
Rare LindaD22 Posted February 4 #12 Share Posted February 4 Ok, if you are going to cruise frequently, and you like to simplify things, these luggage tag covers are great. We’ve used ours for multiple cruises and never lost one of the flimsy paper tags.

That's too much work for a family- we bring mostly carryons, but still don't feel like rolling them around for 2-3 hours before our room is ready. We haven't had one lost yet and it's nice to get to the room and the bags show up. We don't use the tags, though- just stapling the paper ones on a few times and a piece of packing tape does the job

We like to get on early. We are all about getting every minute of the cruise we paid for and not give up 3 hours and a nice lunch to haul our own luggage around the ship. smokeybandit Posted February 4 #18 Share Posted February 4 If you're driving to the port, a later boarding time makes more sense. But anyone at a hotel the night before, why wait? You have to check out of your hotel and find something to kill the time otherwise.

We cruise frequently 4+ times a year and have never had a tag go missing.

SoloAlaska Posted February 4 #21 Share Posted February 4 Amazon or Temu. Less work than tape and stapling and no chance of it getting ripped off. i own both sizes depending on what cruise line I’m cruising on.
