BTB shipboard credit question

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

My unused OBC transferred to my 2nd half of the B2B cruise last June. I received 1 bill for both cruises (5/27 & 6/1/23)

OBC carries over to subsequent segments on B2B cruises.  Your folio won't be closed and charged to your credit card (or you won't have to settle, if paying cash) until the completion your final segment.

BUT, your casino account balance will NOT.  You will need to cash out, down to the last penny, or you will lose any thing in that account. Be sure to take care of this before the last night of the cruise. There are a few instances where the casino is not open the last night before disembarkation.

We always cash out our OB credit after the first trip.

Let them charge my credit card for anything I accrue during the last voyage.

You can only cash out refundable OBC. There may also be a upper limit on how much cash Passenger Services will provide, with larger amounts being sent by check after the cruise.

I was inferring our casino account.

Might as well take the profits/losses ASAP.

Ok. Believe the poster was referring to their on board folio account and not the casino. Casino account is a different system.

Onboard account balances, plus or minus, carry over. There is a single net amount on disembarkation day.

Be nice if RC and Celebrity did that when doing B2B cruises with them.

On my back-to-back cruises in 2019 on the Island Princess, my unspent refundable credit did not carry forward from my first cruise to the second one. And since it was less than $25, Princess did not mail me a check for it. After I complained, I received a goodwill credit on my next cruise.

I still like to empty my account ASAP by transferring it to the casino account. This way I don't have to worry about if there's anything left at the end.

It's in my pocket.

So somewhere on the app it says you have X amount OBC for first cruise and Y amount for cruise 2?

Take out as much as you can each trip at the beginning of each cruise.
