seaside princess Posted June 9 #1 Share Posted June 9 Hello Celebrity Cruisers ! I have booked a private tour in Santorini and want to meet the driver at the Ferry port. Is it possible to get tender tickets to the Ferry port if I am not on a cruise line excursion. Will be on the Infinity in a Sunset suite. Many thanks in advance. Pushka Posted June 9 #2 Share Posted June 9 When we went to Santorini the tenders went to the main tourist area drop off and not near the ferry launch site. Maybe that's changed.
Rare Lena11033 Posted June 9 #3 Share Posted June 9 (edited) When we went for ship excursions it dropped us off at one location and continued on to the main area where the cable cars are. I think people who didn't have excursions with the ship were dropped there for the tender Edited June 9 by Lena11033
Northern Aurora Posted June 10 #4 Share Posted June 10 @seaside princess: By "sunset suite" are you actually in a Suite Class stateroom, or do you mean an aft stateroom? If you are in an actual Suite, Retreat passengers get priority tender tickets. Also, what is your loyalty level with Celebrity?
Rare Jim_Iain Posted June 10 #5 Share Posted June 10 In addition if you are Elite or above they have priority tendering and no tickets are required. You show up in a designated lounge and they escort you when a tender is available.
jelayne Posted June 10 #6 Share Posted June 10 If you are asking to be dropped off at a spot other than near the cable cars where the tenders drop off that’s unlikely.

Unless you’re on a ship excursion, when you are dropped at a different port to join the excursion bus.

This is not about docking at the small ferry port which would be impossible anyway. Tenders for ship exursions with busses always go to the ferry port to access the busses easily. Other (and most) tenders go to Fira and the cable car.

Yes. That’s exactly what I said. I never mentioned ships docking. But was discussing tender operations. There’s no room for large ships to berth anywhere. The ferries operate differently. The "No" in my reply was related to "Maybe that's changed" 😉
Mr. Click Posted June 10 #13 Share Posted June 10 It has been a while but when we had to meet a private tour at the ferry dock we arranged a water taxi from the tender dock near the cable cars and donkey trail over to the ferry pier. Check your roll call and see if you can find some others to join you to cut the per person cost. We booked the water taxi in advance so they were waiting for us when the tender docked. Not the whole great ship. 😉 Everyone else got it. Edited June 10 by Pushka
