Craft Social Bar - Capacity

Recommended Posts

Celebrity has added this venue on its newer Edge-class ships.  We are sailing on Beyond in November and are looking forward to checking it out.  I looked at the deck plans and its looks like they have replaced the Casino Bar with Craft Social.  My recollection is that the Casino Bar on Edge was very small. For those have been on the newer Edge-class ships, was it hard to get a seat in the the Craft Social Bar?  Just don't want to be disappointed

I think questions like this are Nearly impossible to answer,  because any given venue might be crowded at 5 and empty at 3 or 9, crowded on sea days and empty on port days, crowded on a “spring break” type cruise and not on a transatlantic.  And so forth.

It's not a large venue so the capacity is indeed limited. My experience (most recent E-class experience with Craft Social was on the Beyond last summer) is that it depends on the time of day, sea day vs. port day, etc. I have enjoyed going there for a drink after a shore excursion or on a sea day (mid to late afternoon) and didn't find it too busy then. It was tougher to find a seat in the evenings pre- and post-dinner. Ships are sailing more at capacity this year so it may be busier now.

On Beyond 2 months ago it was very crowded and noisy every evening, before and after dinner. It is not even half the size of Craft Social on Equinox. SInce there is no additional casino bar, as there is on Equnox, they have to take care of those orders as well.

The casino bar on S Class is missed on E Class by me..

Thanks, everyone, for the responses.  We'll just take our chances.

If there are major sporting events which could include international sports like cricket, soccer/football, rugby, etc., it can get surprisingly busy and rowdy

I've been to a Zenith Reception with about 40-50 Zenith's and Officers.    It wasn't crowded but  they moved the tables around for the reception.

I've seen it pretty full during Soccer Finals and Foot Ball Games... it's also a Sports Bar.

In the late afternoons and evenings on Beyond and Ascent, the place was really busy.  The area serves as a sports bar with many televisions.  When we were there, there was basketball, hockey and tennis being shown.  It is not a large area. Get there early...

It is a relatively small area.   It is SRO when there are some big sport events on the TV.    It also gets very crowded like many of the bars do when it is the Elite HH.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

It is pretty small. When there has been a popular sporting event on the TV's, it was tough to get a seat a few times, but other times no problem.

It seems they are adding it to S-Class ships, as it is a very popular venue.  It replaces Cellar Masters which I think was an underused space.  The Silhouette has it, and it has much more seating and is more spread out, and even had a few games (I think foosball). On the Solstice, it looks like they will change it over during it's '26 rehaul, as they have already got the TV going and have added the Craft Social Menu.
