Rare jkbec101 Posted August 5 #1 Share Posted August 5 Here are some of the things I would like to see from NCL: Lower Fares (I know it's market driven, supply and demand), but it's getting out of hand. Rotating menu in the Haven Restaurant. Wider beer selection in all bars (I'm a beer drinker, what can I say?) Larger venue for Syd Norman's. An adult version of Howl at the Moon. Multiple comedians per cruise Greater knowledge for those who answer the phones in customer service (I read here and other places about wrong information being given out) Better communication when there is a missed port or other issue effecting the cruise (Not my issue, but a common complaint) Turn over ownership of airline reservations upon booking to the guest (too many issues with changes when there's a problem) Refresh the menus at Cagney's, Le Bistro and La Cucina. Offer new and different appetizers, desserts, etc. With minor exceptions, these menus have not changed for ten years. A hotline number to call while on your cruise if there is a problem (it may have saved those 9 people in AK from missing their ship. NCL needs a Social Media Ambassador like John Heald. Someone who can answer questions, explain policy and lend a hand when needed. I REALIZE THAT SOME MAY DISAGREE OR TAKE ISSUE WITH SOME OF THESE POINTS. REMEMBER, THIS IS A WISH LIST!!!!! 10
Rare luv2kroooz Posted August 5 #2 Share Posted August 5 That is a great list. The ships that have a District Brewhouse have a pretty extensive beer offering. I think Howl is an adults only venue after 11 or 1130. 4
Rare Anoynmous Phoenix Posted August 5 #3 Share Posted August 5 My #1 wish is that NCL would appoint someone on each ship to proof read every document that is provided to passengers. My #2 wish is that NCL goes through every document on their website so that the information is exactly the same for any item wherever it is found. My #3 wish is that NCL stops all stupid crossed out pricing advertising and varying percentage off offers both online and elsewhere and is totally honest about the cost of the cruise. 4
Ellis1138 Posted August 5 #4 Share Posted August 5 I'll add: #1: I wish the salmon would be back as the Classic fish, not tilapia. #2: I wish for 6-sided mattress covers on the beds and better dusting in the cabins. #3: Indulge Food Hall on every ship.

ChiefMateJRK Posted August 6 #6 Share Posted August 6 My main wish is that they don't screw up the OL on the Bliss and Encore like they did on the Joy. 3

julig22 Posted August 6 #10 Share Posted August 6 I'd like to see updates to the latitudes program - maybe something in-between Diamond and Ambassador. Or how about including Diamond along with suites with respect to priority/escorted tendering for example. Stop charging fees for port-to-city center busses in industrial ports where it's not really feasible to walk - and include the bus back to the ship if you have a NCL excursion but want to spend time in town before returning to the ship. Extra points to NCL if port transfers were a latitudes perk! Allow a "city-center" meeting point for later excursions.
Middleager Posted August 6 #11 Share Posted August 6 I wish NCL would cut down the paper advertisements. The Dailies are good, but so many insert/invites to the Parkwest auctions, CruiseNexts, spa treatments, etc. It's a lot of paper wastes.

Rare Anoynmous Phoenix Posted August 6 #13 Share Posted August 6 @Middleager I wish NCL would cut down the paper advertisements. The Dailies are good, but .... I fully agree. Everything of that type goes, unopened/unread, into File 13. Ask your steward how many other people do the same thing!! I would be happier with NCL's supposed "environment concern" if they would do this.
jennjess Posted August 6 #14 Share Posted August 6 More vegetarian food options. Rarely eat in the speciality restaurants since there is little choice for me.
dexddd Posted August 6 #15 Share Posted August 6 Seems like the wish list is the list they are working to cut back on.
david_sobe Posted August 6 #16 Share Posted August 6 A really good pizza place like RCCL has where you can get really good pizza all day and night. Pizza is not that expensive to make and it can be included in your cruise fare. I find the menu at the Local skimpy. Fake cheese nachos and sandwiches don't excite me as much as a great slice of pizza.

Further to this, I wish NCL would cut down such advertisements in messages. I go on the TV to check charges, or bookings, for our accounts. We'd also check messages, and too many are those advertisements, not real messages.

Travelling2Some Posted August 6 #21 Share Posted August 6 (edited) More overnights in ports. We've had them in Dubrovnik, Jerusalem, Panama and, of course, Bermuda, on NCL and other lines and it really was an inducement for us to book. Edited August 6 by Travelling2Some forgot one
Travelling2Some Posted August 6 #22 Share Posted August 6 I also wish all the cruise lines would branch out to less crowded Greek islands. Santorini and Mykonos have become so crowded I don't even want to go there anymore.

Rare mking8288 Posted August 6 #24 Share Posted August 6 Adding to the wish list - Mission impossible, one can still wish & here I go: NCL to come clean with their last minute, post final payment "sail to sustain" BS with unforeseen changes for our (in)convenience & theirs, to change/modify port times, embarkation & disembarkation - transparency when it comes to excuses to save fuel vs. bona fide medical emergencies, medivac and adverse maritime/port safety or conditions, and regulation restrictions, i.e. Right Whales sighting & speed restriction zones. And, a clearly written and consistent corporate & fleet-wide policies about partial refunds for port charges/fees. For good laughs, maybe it's time to consolidate some of the onboard "specialty restaurants" with the latest update to "2024 and beyond menus limited" with a handful of choices & selections, turn some of the revenues to upscale dining with multi-cuisine options, i.e. tired of seeing French onions soup every day and almost everywhere we go, no matter where we are dining.
