Why no potato chips on cruise

What about popcorn? I like popcorn better than chips.

And what about m&ms. But they would have to remove the red ones. I don't like red ones.

HAL preps small bags of popcorn for their movies.

There was a time when they had the popcorn machines outside the movie theater and you got a nice bag of fresh, hot popcorn.

HAL used to have a bowl of potato chips right by the person who made your special sandwich just the way you wanted it.

Potato chips do come with some items on the in-cabin orders.

Now HAL offers usually 4 or 5 pre-made sandwiches -- all in bags. And now the chips come in a smaller bag.

This, LOL I am very OCD about cleanliness, but My "CRACK LIKE ADDICTION" for potato chips leyt me eat every chip in sight................ :D I can't imagine how much weight I would gain if chips were readily available.

I thought that DW was the only person to suffer from that syndrome. Thank you for posting :)

We enjoy the chips with our roast beef sandwich on the Allure and Oasis.

Now at home we cannot have them within 5 miles of our house, because it is a true addiction and I would consume mass quantities of them and get bigger and BIGGER:eek:

So on a cruise we have 1 or two bags:rolleyes: then thats all

Safe travels.

Potato chips do not lend themselves to being served with tongs - when in a large bowl, they beg to be taken by the handful, and I have no interest in eating things into which many fellow cruisers have plunged their hands. The small bags on HAL, and other lines, are the only way, other than having staff add them to plates.

On Oasis and Quantum class ships on Royal, they have single serve bags of chips and Doritos. Me being the chip junkie that I am, I always ask for two bags each day to take to my cabin to munch on whenever.😉

I have always wondered, just curious. Thanks

I can't think of a cruise that I have been on (over 20 ) where potato chips have been unavailable. Maybe I'm cruising the wrong lines:D
