Forgot to mention due to the closeness of the state of Alabama to Panama City Beach, FL, this area is known as "The Redneck Riviera" :D !

My girlfriend wore jeans pretty much every time to the main dining room / specialty restaurants and no one ever stopped us from eating there. Just wear a nice top to go along with them and make sure they are a decent pair.

Funny, I was trying to explain about the "no jeans" thing in cruise ship dining rooms. Ever the non-conformist, he said if he ever cruised, he'd go out and buy a thrift shop suit that was way too big for him, and wear that!

The dress code is the dress code, if you don't like it, move on. Why does everything in todays life have to be bought down to "I can if I want to!". It is like smoking, swearing and just being downright illmannered. No you can't!
