  1. You forget the Olive Grove, Quays, a Multi screen movie theatre, acres more sunbathing areas on the upper decks as well much better shopping, if that floats your boat.
  2. Have you asked all the "elderly" passengers what they think about Iona?
  3. Just had a glance at the replacement cruise for B315, it is a 14 nt round Britain cruise with 5 ports including 2 days in Liverpool, and the same grade cabin is higher priced than our launch booking. Glad I didn't wait for an expected great deal ss we have booked a 14nt Sky Princess Baltic cruise which has 9 ports, most of which are new to us, and although the Princess plus price is higher than our original cruise, we are looking forward to seeing what Princess have done with their Britannia equivalent ships. Quite surprised, but very pleased that a 2023 cruise still had accessible cabins available.
  4. But is that ships fault, or just the younger demographic that it attracts?
  5. From memory some time between 5:00 and 6:00pm.
  6. But since you know this when you book, and are prepared to pay these higher prices out of your own pocket, then any extra OBC you receive saves you spending your own money.
  7. Arvia will spend April to October sailing from Southampton and I believe she will be registered there as well. But I agree that a naming ceremony in Barbados does not worry me at all, neither the fact that she will cruise with passengers ahead of the naming ceremony. The old naming ceremony just prior to the ship being launched down the shipyard slipway, is no longer really relevant to a vessel built in the modern pre-fabricated way. It's now just a handy bit of publicity for the cruise line.
  8. We are Baltic but still have never had a Calendar or a Moments magazine.😥
  9. Do you do the same when you visit friends houses?
  10. I wonder just how many LED lights there are being used, I know that ours were quite old and certainly pre dated the introduction of LED ones, when we last put them up. I suspect many people still have quite old ones, which are probably far less economical.
  11. Other than the tiny land locked enclave between Poland and Lithuania, there is only St Petersberg on the Baltic and that is quite a distance along a narrow inlet that would be relatively easy to isolate with a few NATO submarines if Putin did escalate things in the region. So I don't believe that security is the reason. Like Moly I think the reason is diminishing bookings, but I can't really see that extra Norway, Icland or round Britain cruises are going to be any easier to fill, unless they offer distressed pricing like Princess did last year on Enchanted Princess, which could well result in a much lower return, than keeping the Baltic cruises.
  12. Not particularly enamoured with the alternatives proposed, but I guess that without St Petersburg they are struggling to sell Baltic cruises, so it's not surprising. However Baltic cruises in our experience generally offer warmer weather than Iceland, Norway or UK cruisers, so I think we will be opting out. Unfortunately as we need an accessible cabin I doubt we will find an alternative warm weather cruise with an available cabin.
  13. You will need your approved boarding pass in order to board the ship, and then to verify your attendance at your muster station, and to charge any initial on board spend, before you pick up your cruise card from your cabin post slot.
  14. I would cancel the online booking and book again once on board. At least that way it will effectively receive the loyalty discount.
  15. Since the boarding pass is used as your cruise card until you pick up your keys from your cabin post box, then I would hope that the boarding pass is updated to show the new cabin well before your cruise.
  16. I must try to remember to read all posts in future before replying!!!!! But it does work the same on my phone.🙄
  17. I have my shares with a different company and my statement similarly does not display my name on the online screen, however it does have a create PDF facility and this does display the name and address.
  18. Yes I should have said they were under the bed for those DIY enthusiasts, however I do prefer to be a bit pampered when on holiday.
  19. The runner is no longer being used, and I dont think there were any cushions on Iona in October, but there were on Britannia in June.
  20. Moly, do you know what P&O are going to do about passengers who had their cruise cancelled because of this health questionnaire, but have been unable to claim compensation from their travel insurance?
  21. I didn't realise a Pina Colada or Rum Punch were exclusive to P&O?
  22. I have been on 2 post covid and used the buffet every day, without any sign of any illness. I think the secret is to mix as much as possible, which ensures you come into contact with lots of germs, which keeps your immune system in top class working order. Mask wearing, and hiding away on tables for two for fear of encountering a bug or two, and keeping your immune system in the dark, is more likely to leave you susceptible to lots of illnesses.
  23. You do seem to have it in for poor Iona, but you do seem to keep going back, I wonder why?
  24. I dont think that's how you're supposed to be approaching this energy saving initiative.🤔
