  1. Right there with you, just a couple away from 50! Keep in mind, you do not have to use it on the exact cruise you hit 50 on. You have a little while to use it (I think it is a year), so plan accordingly to optimize that OBC and pick whatever cruise 50 or slightly after you are spending the most on for the cruise rate 😜
  2. BEST OF ALL you get to sport that shiny new Silver Card 😜
  3. Yes all benefits should be available to you before and after. No priority boarding for anyone right now (except weddings and Suites), but as someone mentioned above, you can pick your port arrival time 2 days before others, which in turn gets you an earlier boarding time. You do get the letter in your room with early zone boarding tags if you want to use the priority debarkation. Still get priority tendering in tender ports going (not coming back). Still have priority line at guest services. Still get bottled water - go to bar or ask in dining room will not be in your room for you like before. Still get chocolate delight (call room service) Still get laundry (there are usually bags and tags to fill out in drawer in room), just do that and pack it in bag and give to Steward.... if they aren't there then just ask him for some Still get free gift (go to Pixles gallery to get that), again not in in room All guests in the same room with you get the same boarding, debarking, and tendering with you Many ships are doing the Diamond/Platinum party with free apps and drinks for your and 1 guest - (watch for an invite in your room) - this is being reported as hit or miss depending on ship and sailing, but seems to be getting more and more back to normal
  4. Actually, you can call room service for the Chocolate Delight, they can handle that (that's what we have done)
  5. This is why a GOOD PVP is invaluable. If you just deal with Carnival customer service you can change the name (usually) but for a fee. I good PVP, like mine and WKUTopperFan's, can get a lot of change fees waived. Mine does it all the time for a bunch of different things!
  6. Yes, but if you use the carnival hub app to check in, IT will only work the 1st time. We did this, went to breakfast, and then later when back and had lunch. When we tried to check in on the carnival hub app the 2nd time it wouldn't work. We went down and they checked us in, said it was because we had already been there once. So you will need to go down and have them add you to the list to get seated for lunch instead of using the app.
  7. I hear you, the formatting sucks. We always just tested 2 days before anyhow to be safe lol! Even though for months we could have done it 3 days before. Figured better safe than sorry
  8. Correct! If on the same sail and sign though it shouldn't matter. If they each have their own account then yes, it is split
  9. It is NOT the Kiosk. You cannot go pull the money from your account at a Kiosk. You have to go to the casino. Sit down load up a few hundred. Play a few spins then cash out to your bank. Go to the cage and cash out your account. We did it the first hour the casino opened.
  10. Yes, it works. We got on with 1100 OBC and cashed out $600 and left the rest as OBC Also, as another person mentioned. Hubby and I were tied together and though it was supposed to be 1/2 his and 1/2 mine it didn't matter. When either of charged anything, it came out of the OBC regardless. I don't usually use my card; he uses his for everything most times. Do need to make sure you understand "what the OBC" is for though. Some are refundable so if you don't spend it they will just send it to you after the cruise. Other is use it or lose it. Some is for the casino only; some can be used for anything.
  11. This paragraph simply specifies that these 4 ports (regardless of the length of sailing) require the Covid testing (1st sentence). The last sentence then specifies of those 4 ports, two - Canada and Bermuda can test 3 days before for PCR, but 2 days before for antigen (again regardless of length of sailing).
  12. That is correct, but it was not specifically a cheers discount. It was a package deal you got with your booking (like we did). Just like some casino rates include drinks in the casino, and some can include drinks everywhere. If you don't have a package offer, then the best discount available if you wish to purchase a cheers package is only to pre-purchase before you get on at 10% off.
  13. Are you sailing to Bermuda or Canada? Those are the only ports that require the antigen within 72 hours. If doing a PCR you can do it 3 days before. The 3 day before has been in place for a while now for fully vaxxed and boosted for cruises of all lengths. Still says that as well. It is only the 2 exceptions (port related) of Bermuda and Canada that narrow it to 2 days and only if doing Antigen. It all just depends on where your sailing, if you are fully vaxxed, and and for how long you are sailing. This below makes it pretty clear. TESTING REQUIREMENTS (UPDATED 8/01/22) CRUISES 5 DAYS OR LESS Except where destination requirements differ, effective with sailings departing August 4, 2022, there will be no pre-cruise testing for fully vaccinated guests booked on certain cruises with itineraries 5 days or less. Due to destination requirements, ALL guests on itineraries that include Bahamas, Bermuda and Grand Cayman must complete a pre-cruise test, irrespective of the length of the cruise. For these itineraries, guests may take either a PCR or antigen test starting 3 days before departure and including embarkation day, provided test results are received in time for check-in (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Wednesday). See below for specific testing requirements for Bermuda.* CRUISES 6 DAYS OR MORE On cruises 6 days or longer, testing requirements remain in place for guests age 2 and older. Except where destination requirements differ, all guests may take their test (PCR or antigen) starting 3 days before departure.* Guests traveling on back-to-back cruises 16 days or more will be tested between voyages. * BAHAMAS, BERMUDA, CANADA, AND GRAND CAYMAN: Pre-cruise testing requirements remain in place for ALL guests on ALL itineraries which include Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, and Grand Cayman. Fully vaccinated guests traveling to Bermuda and Canada can take either a PCR test within 72 hours prior to sailing, or an antigen test no earlier than two days prior to sailing, in order to comply with destination regulations.
  14. Hope they identify and fix the issue before our family cruise in a few weeks. Will be watching to see if anyone posts here if it has improved?
  15. Ok, so question about drinks on us while in the Casino. I received this offer a few times over the last 3 months and have booked a few cruises this year and next. I have lost sight of which booking codes I have on what (ya I know terrible problem to have lol!) How can I know when I sail if I get the free drinks while in the Casino? Is it designated somehow on my sail and sign or some other way? I don't see it outlined anywhere in my actual booking. This is the first time I have had these offers so not sure how this works.
  16. Someone posted a link to it up above. Neither of the ships I have been on had them in there (the Conquest or Sunshine) the last 4 times we cruised. There was a sheet with QR codes to scan you could look at it. We never order breakfast to the room so not sure, and we don't need to scan the menu because we always get the same exact thing lol.
  17. You have to sign the receipt and you can add the tip to that. We always just hand them cash so it goes direct to their pocket, but either way is fine.
  18. No, just deep fried crisp and tossed in garlic/butter/parmesan. Come with little side of like blue cheese/ranch type dressing and a few carrot and celery sticks and the Sweet Potatoes Fries basket is HUGE!!! Yummmmooooo! Our MO is usually on one of our port days when we get back on and are tired/sweaty/wet exhausted we order room service for lunch. Hubby jumps in shower first and gets cleaned up and throws on his lounge shorts and TShirt (just in case them come while I am in the shower - sometimes they are fast) and then I jump in the shower and get in my comfy clothes - and about that time lunch is served. Two of us normal order is: Sweet Potatoes Fries Garlic Parm Wings Caesar side salad 2 ham and cheese sandwiches with chips (the only way to get real normal potatoes chips on the whole ship - room service) Chocolate Cake It's like $10 plus we tip the server Then unconscious asleep for 2 hours lol!🤪
  19. Yes, this practice has never gone away, even after start up they were still allowing Diamond and Platinum guests to go to their room and drop luggage and leave. However, we still need to allow stateroom stewards to do their job and not try to actually go into and start using or settling in to our rooms until the appropriate time (which right now is 1:30 on every ship I have been on). It is just too hard for them when everyone gets in the way and they aren't finished yet.
  20. No, not unless your booking included the "Free Drinks On US while in Casino" which is a special rate some people are offered (usually only those who play in the casino on a regular basis to some degree)
  21. Just off last week (4th cruise so far). They no longer have the door tags you fill out and leave on your handle for breakfast, you have to order it directly Until 10pm some things are free, others are an upcharge (but minimal in my opinion). Love the Sweet Potato Fries and Garlic Parm wings! After 10pm all items are $. PS they started doing this because for a brief period they had the same menu all the time, but people would order the free stuff and then not answer when they went to deliver because they fell asleep late, etc. So they started adding a charge briefly for any orders after 10pm (free stuff or not), then this seemed to evolve into pay only items. This way if the come at 2am and you have passed out drunk you still get charged for their efforts. 🤣
  22. The Casino bar can make pretty much any drink any other bar can. They have a menu available to try to "tout" specific drinks, but pretty much anything you wan they can make
  23. "Policy" may be that you aren't supposed to leave your dining or drink area with the drink. But in 23 years of cruising I have never seen anyone that works onboard bat an eye at people walking around carrying a drink in the open - even when it is clearly an alcoholic beverage, let alone just an insulated cup they have no idea what is in it. All one has to do is sit on the Promenade and people watch for any length of time and you will see all kinds of people walking around carrying their drinks. NOW, I will say smuggling booze on to then try to drink onboard is a BIG no no and that will get you busted! Seen that happen myself. People were pouring the little airplane size bottles into their drink and got caught and were then "talked to" by some officer and they all walked off together. Or getting out of control because you are drinking too much, seen that one dealt with a couple times too. When there is a bar on the ship practically like every 100 feet you are never far from one even walking around lol! Plus you may be going back to your room, going from the bar to the restaurant for dinner, going from the bar to the show lounge, going from the bar to the pool deck, going from the bar to the comedy club... who knows? See what I mean?🤣
  24. Don't imagine that it would change it in the least for a while - until people stop vacationing. We have the perfect storm, after 2 years in lock down people want to buy/do everything - and a lot of extra expendable income that will last a while due to not spending for the last 2 years. Also dollar for dollar cruising can be one of the cheapest forms of vacation when you consider room, transportation, entertainment, food, etc. So more people might actually flock to it to make their family vacation dollar stretch. More importantly - gas prices are much more likely to affect it conversely. 😪
  25. One more note. If you do log in and invite everyone to join together - once you are all linked you can use the Carnival hub app to request table for the number of people in that group that might want to eat together - if you decide to enjoy an specialty restaurants - and you will all be seated together as well.
