  1. I love it too! I think they should rename it. Affectionately, of course. 😉
  2. That's the one. 10 night cruise, gives us a chance to visit Iceland first (coming in a few days ahead), and GB afterwards. Plus it included 3 of the ports we wanted in Norway.
  3. After seeing the itineraries and ships for the Norwegian fjords, I’m glad we jumped the gun and booked NCL. I guess now we will eagerly wait for winter 25/26 Caribbean. Hoping for a nice B2B for our 40th. 🙂 Would like it to be RCI. 🤞🏼
  4. That IS sad. My hubby and I get 5 weeks and 5.5 weeks respectively, plus 12 holidays, plus 5 sick days annually. Of course, we can't take them all at once, but we are taking two weeks together later this month. AND it's for a cruise booked when cruises opened for this period two years ago. 😀
  5. For the price of a one-way AK cruise in a "spacious" balcony on Radiance, late May ($4590), a nice land trip to AK, with small vessel excursions to Glacier Bay, could be planned. No thanks, Jason Liberty. Someone else may be foolish enough to pay that price, but not us. 🙂 Glad we chose Iceland/Norway on NCL for 2025. 🙂
  6. Yes, I know that. I was referring to LT and ST debt only in my comment. Thanks. 🙂
  7. Congrats! You will love the MS Gulf Coast. Great food, friendly people, interesting little towns to explore (Bay St Louis/Ocean Springs) and fun festivals. 🙂
  8. Amlodipine was what did it to me. I never dealt with edema in the ankles before that, except for long flights. @Sea Dog, Hope you are able to get the swelling under control. And that the knee surgery goes extremely well! 🙂
  9. We brought our own corkscrew, and hubby got wine glasses from a bar on our way back to the cabin. DH was asked more than once on his way to dinner where he got such a generous pour.
  10. I can tell you that the BP med I was on caused edema in my feet, even if I wasn’t drinking. The doc took me off that one, and the new one has a mild diuretic in it. My feet haven’t swollen since then. I suggest letting your doc know that you are getting edema and ask if your BP med could be factoring in.
  11. Glad you had a great cruise, Greg. Hope the stomach issues calm down. Safe travels to all of you! Thanks for sharing!!!
  12. They still have $20B in debt, most of that long-term debt, so that isn't accounted for on a current P&L statement. Only the current debt payments are reflected in the profit and loss statement. With Liberty at the helm, he will beat that 'dead horse' of debt until it is totally gone.....then beat it some more for profits.
  13. For us, it depends on which line is being compared, and which ships are included in the choices. We typically don't see that kind of price range, because we don't usually book a ship when it first begins sailing. Don't like paying premium prices for 'new'. We also book either group rates, or in a suite with a great TA, who provides shipboard credit.
  14. I'm truly sorry that all of you in Israel are going thru this awful time. I hope the best for Israel in this situation. Emails, unless directed to an individual, don't really get a great response from large companies like RCI. And unfortunately, if you booked thru Priceline, they aren't the best with customer support either. Third parties like that are great for pricing and (in my opinion) awful with customer service when you need them. As others have mentioned, this is a very large company, and like all the other cruise lines, after final payment date, they don't normally veer from the stated contract. If this was a cruise scheduled to sail to Israel, because of the number of people affected, they would try to find alternative routes. The cruises sailing from Israel were a unique circumstance in which sailings couldn't take place, which is why they were responsive to that. I'm not sure you will get a resolution that is satisfactory to you.
  15. We are doing just that, getting off Wonder in Orlando, boarding Symphony same day in Miami (great pricing on Symphony suite we couldn’t pass up) in early 2025. I personally wouldn’t recommend it without having a car with you in the garage at the first between sailings. We plan to walk off in Orlando and drive straight to Miami. As Biker mentioned, there is Brightline. By the time you would sail, people here will have reported how it worked out for them. 🙂 It could be possible for you, adding in time traveling to and from train stations.
  16. @dani negreanu, every night we are praying for your family and all in Israel to be safe from the evil surrounding you. If there is something tangible any of us can do for you, please speak up. Thank you for updating this thread. I check in when I can.
  17. Most of the seniors I know could drink those younger whipper-snappers under the table! 😂 RCI will rescind this as soon as they realize that. Grab it before it’s gone!
  18. Yes, I forget that because I don't drink in the am. Still trying to purge all the vodka from the Martini Bar the night before. 😄
  19. Think fancy continental breakfast, with meats, cheeses, danishes, good juices, breads, etc.
  20. We enjoy sailing Celebrity, in Edge class. The Elite breakfast is nice, and comes with specialty coffees. Other than that, there is really no benefit in status for us while sailing Celebrity.
  21. Yep, I watched it. The specific question was asked. She was sorta vague in her answer, danced around it, but did say that we would be hearing something about benefits changes, and we would be happy with the info in a few months. Of course, Celebrity and RCI have always tried to cast a positive spin on any decision they make in THEIR best interest. 😂 Some of the things she said, I thought “How can you say that with a straight face? I’m impressed!” 🤣
  22. And he meant it because a lot of their pricing is seriously expensive right now! We sail RCI frequently, but won’t sail at those prices. Not sure what “land vacations” he is comparing them to unless it’s overpriced Disney. 😂
