    Thank you Gill.

Her mam and dad are awful and were cruel to her and refused any contact with her for over 8 years.

What has upset her is they told neighbours 5 weeks before he died he was terminal but had not contacted her or us to apologise or let us know even though we live next door.

I opened our gates and moved my car to the top of the close when the ambulances and paramedic cars appeared in case they needed to take him out which they did and put him in the black coroner's van.

Pauline wrote a lovely Condolences card and popped it in their letterbox and she wrote nasty lies on the card and pushed it back through our letterbox.

How people can behave like that is quite beyond me.

Your Sarah is so very lucky that she has you and Pauline to lean on as this will stir up all sorts of emotions, both active and dormant, for her and for you and Pauline.

    Take care.

I have been out for my walk and on the way back down our road the 6 year old twins who live a few houses up stopped me to ask "Are you OK because we haven't seen you for nearly a week and mum said that we can't come to knock on your door and pester you because she has seen you when we were at school but we have been told be school that we have to look out for old people when it is cold".  I wonder how old they think I am ?

Anyone over the age of 18 will be absolutely decrepit to 6 year olds 🤣👵

  3. It’s a hard one. I’ve attended quite a few over the years on Aurora. Most attendees have been solo travellers in their own cabin. Some have travelled with friends who are in another cabin and some are sharing a cabin with a friend. I can only think of two instances where a husband and wife attended. Imo, only the latter is wrong.

  4. Good morning everyone.

Dreadful and weird weather here…… yesterday about 5.30pm I was out walking Freddie and the clouds looked most ominous. Walking quickly and within 2 minutes of home, the wind howled and we had a hailstorm. Everywhere was white within seconds….. I rarely run, but I did the last 200 yards to the front door like Usain Bolt….🤣🤣.

  5. Good morning from a very wet Dorset.
I’m currently having a new patio laid. The poor guys doing the work got soaked yesterday and today doesn’t look a whole lot better. The kettle is working overtime with tea and coffee drinks.

Poor Freddie is not enjoying the noise and the interruption to his usual routines.

    I hope everyone is well.

  6. The advice given is that if you arrive at your allotted time (or a bit before) you should be boarded fairly promptly. They do seem to be quite strict although some have been lucky and got on early. Last summer I arrived 1200 for 1230 boarding time but still had to wait outside until 1229 when we were called.

My personal advice would be to only arrive as early as you are able stand outside for.

  7. Good morning all. Pouring with rain here this morning after a thick frost last night.

I’m sorry to hear about your Mum @P&O SUE but pleased to hear she was soon back home.

Went to the theatre last night and saw Giovanni from Strictly in his “Let me entertain you” show. It was amazing and one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. The live music and the dancing was just wonderful.  A long standing ovation was given at the end when Giovanni and the cast (including Lauren from Strictly) did a very fast jive to Proud Mary. Fab-u-lous !

I hope everyone has a good weekend.
