  1. Yes they will. Just tell GS, they will do OBC for you.
  2. Welcome to CC and the Princess forum. It has, for some, shown a charge and then comes back as 0, or it doesn’t charge the card. However, the IT dept is changing the dining on the App and will be finished on June 17th. Now, this is supposed to be for the MDR and not SD Specialty dining. Also, if you’re referring to a July booking, it should not affect you. Because of updates, it could affect your booking it right now. So, if it does charge you on the credit card, once OB the GS can credit it as refundable OBC. Or, you could just call the dine line on your cabin phone and book the SD reservations that you want. That’s what we do. It does take a few days from when you add the package to reflect on the App. Try again. Or, use the website version of the App, cruise personalizer, dining.

  5. Never happened to us. They do have airline crew contracts. Could they honor the rate at another Hyatt Place nearby? Was this VT? Worth a call to them. Let us know.
  6. It may have been due to the TA booking the excursion for us. Most of the time, it just shows as a refund on the CC. They really should have a better process for cancellation on excursions.
  7. Welcome to Cruise critic and the Princess forum. Did you download the Princess Cruises App? You can select dining on there or there is a website version of the App on the website, under your cruise personalizer… If you used a TA, they could help too. If they like to eat early…go when the MDR opens on the first night and ask the host/hostess if they can get you a table every night at 5 pm, or whatever time they like. They are very helpful and may see another MDR that is available. You cannot go a day early, they are not going to checkin for the sailing until the actual sailing date. You will go through a line to get inside, then follow tje blue line to pick up the medallion. All guests do have to checkin, show passports and required documents. It usually goes pretty fast. We get to the port about 10-1030 and get inboard by 1100 or so. If the older guests need a wheelchair, you can request one from an agent from Princess, they’ll bring it around for them to board.

  9. It is supposed to open on June 17th for bookings. They are redoing the MDR reservation system. Hopefully, the App will be updated by then. 🥴
  10. I have to change my answer, to it depends…. We’ve done it many times. But, using miles and doing seat upgrades. Check their App after you book with EZ Air and look up your flight, get your seat assignments, make sure your Mileage plus number is in the record and you’ll see the baggage rules too. I used my mileage plus card to pay and also upgraded the seats, so that might be why my 1st bag was free. Also, I used miles on the last TA flights and used my Mplus card. Sorry if this was confusing.
  11. That is disappointing for sure! I have had waitlists clear once OB, but that is risky. I checked with Shore excursions as soon as they opened to tell them I really wanted the tour. Good luck. Let us know.

  13. That is a shame. If you booked through a TA, they may have been notified. Also, could have gone into junk folder. Or, no notification. I’ve had both happen to me. If you call the phone line, there is an option for shore excursions. See if they can help. If you used a TA/CVP reach out to them for help, see if they can get you on a waitlist. I would try Viator or VisitItaly.eu

  15. Yes, absolutely! Whatever you charge OB and Gratuities will come off your OBC on your folio automatically.
  16. They say, you’ll be able to make reservations starting June 17th, if it is all programmed. The App will show your b2b as one cruise, and you can still book one day at a time if you wish to dine with others on some nights.
  17. Absolutely not! Where did this trip advisor cone from? Was it Princess Promotions, a cruise tour representative? Concierge? Never heard of this. Especially, since you had a TA. Was this someone in the Philippines? SMH

  19. Just call RS line and ask. They have never charged a fee for the swap. The stewards are so overworked on embarkation day. NP.
  20. No fee to swap out the mini bar, because you have to call RS to do that. Sometimes the cabin steward will do it, but that’s really a function of RS.
