  1. If you are flying in Europe, be sure to look at airline luggage limits as some will weigh your hand luggage or measure for size.
  2. We had a great, relaxing day - walked out to South Beach which is a bit quieter and nice water to swim in. Would be happy to return to Coco Cay.
  3. You will be sailing out of World Cruise Center in San Pedro - make sure your driver knows your cruise line as the Carnival berth is closer and could cause a mixup.
  4. We have made our 10:30 flight out of SEATAC multiple times - walk off at 7:30, head immediately to the Ride share line. I realize some day that might not work but we have limited options on connecting flights.
  5. For us, no matter the trip we each have a 21" roller board and personal item. On longer trips I am happy to send out laundry as well as a bit of washing up in cabin. We make it work with limiting shoes and a capsule wardrobe. Just finished 35 days including ocean cruise, land travel by plane and train then fabulous river cruise. But that only works if you want it to.
  6. For me - soft side 21" roller bag with two wheels (roller blade style). I also look carefully at weight as traveling internationally they may weigh that bag along with my carry on. Travel Pro has traveled well, wipes up pretty clean and has sturdy wheels. My take after weekly travel - 4 wheels are great on smooth pavement or airport floors, are awful on carpet or uneven ground and break off very easily (watch the sad faces as baggage comes out on the carousel).
  7. We had a lovely time, spending the day at South Beach where it was relatively quiet and a nice swim spot. Do not have to spend any money except beverages.
  8. No Caribbean cruise for me in August - hate humidity and the ship will be full of kids (dependent on cruise line and itinerary).
  9. We are part of the pack light group - just finished TA, land travel, river cruise for a total of 35 days. Packed in 21" roller bag plus personal bag. I do bring low suds powder detergent (sold for hand washing lingerie) to sink wash personal items and blouses - easier to rinse out that high suds products.
  10. True - was actually remembering when we arrived in to Canada by plane, sorry for any misinformation.
  11. Sailed 21 nights in that cabin last August - plenty of room, nice bathroom, slept like a baby in the comfortable beds. Enjoyed so much we are sailing 32 days Sydney- Vancouver in 2025 in the same cabin.
  12. I would check again for another verification - the cruise will have a stop in Canada and that makes it a bit different.
  13. Only have had it stamped at international airports. Be careful about getting a stamp that is meant as a souvenir as I recently read of someone's passport deemed unacceptable due to a non-official stamp.
  14. Just back from 35 days of really fun travel - packed in carry on luggage. Did board the GE with a week of laundry from land travel in Prague and Budapest, sent out a very full bag. Always do a bit of sink laundry which dries fine in the shower. Total bill at the end of trip was a bit over $150, worth every cent to me to be able to pack light.
  15. You can arrange for a Pack and Play that will be in your cabin - do bring your own sheets.
  16. We have sailed Alaska in late May, June, August and September - shorts to hike in Skagway, sunny and lovely on the pool deck one cruise and rainy and windy on another. We only wore coats on the day we were outside watching the glacier. Other than that it was layers of tee shirt, long sleeve wool tee, fleece/vest if needed and a raincoat was the top layer. The scenery and the wildlife are so interesting - nothing like Caribbean beach days.
  17. We spent 21 days in a Deluxe Interior on the Apex and loved it - plenty of room and slept like babies in the lovely bed. Bathroom was large and very nicely set up.
  18. The train from Rotterdam takes you directly in Schipol and does not have traffic issues.
  19. I enjoy the Rooftop Garden area - less crowded but a very lovely spot on that open deck.
  20. We sailed 19 nights last August in carry on bags - used the wash and fold for everything but good clothes and it worked out fine. I do have items that I will wash in cabin once and send out after the second wearing.
  21. Sorry for confusion - I just meant that the camera is mounted for an outward view so it is dark at night. Though the blue background is new - formerly it was a black picture with grainy white dots.
  22. All we ever saw was the dark as it is a camera facing into the dark. I agree what you are seeing is normal.
  23. We have never booked in the Retreat as it was not a value to us instead we book a more luxurious cruise line for less than a suite and enjoy it very much.
  24. We have always seen plenty of chairs, but they are not all poolside where I have witnessed the most saved chairs.
  25. I understand your concern. There are specific hours for your family. Other cruisers may not be happy if your kids are occupying loungers when there are no others available to an adult - just a thought.
