  1. thanks for your reply. It is folks who are currently on a ship that provide real time information that can be helpful as well as the threads for the new ships being built. But it looks liked someone had to provide me with a definition as well. I agree those cruise lines that have it or inclusive is not something I want to pay for since I do not drink alcohol, nor do I gamble or even use internet. I can get news off the tv and wait until I get home to catch up. I tell my family if a really bad emergency pops up, contact the cruise line and the ship.
  2. no I can't but I would recommend the Thermal Spa on newer NCL ships as they are much bigger and very good.
  3. When I was on the Equinox in 2022, I decided to switch to MDR and the lady at the podium asked for my room number and then wondered why I was not going to the Blu since I was Aqua class. I told her I just liked the menu at MDR for that night. She just smiled and said that is fine. But do tell your friends to use BLU for breakfast. Very good. and also I found he buffet at night on Celebrity to be very good as well.
  4. yup that is why they ask for your room number please........
  5. then again, this site is called Cruise CRITIC. still, I think useful information can be found on this site too.
  6. oh for the love of god I was hoping for a different story. but still getting that email would be odd but I think I would know to ignore.
  7. I agree and then if the ship is overbooked, guess who gets an email saying sorry but.............
  8. aw no 12 inches longer or a few thousand pounds so as to have bragging rights. Wondering when the name for the third ship will come out.
  9. aw ok thanks for the clairification. I was a bit confused.
  10. aw no problem. I just wanted to say ask for a NEW steak that way it might come out better. Trust me if someone sends something back, I think the mgrs take note.
  11. I had them on Horizon in October but did NOT have them on Celebration. I mean the newest ship had the ugliest and worse looking desserts. They should be a shamed in a way.
  12. stay on the ship and enjoy all the port activity and looking at other ships.
  13. everything comes with warning these days. Why every ride at Universal has a long list of warnings. The legal minds at work I guess.
  14. why if the solved the problem and gave me a nice new steak. No restaurant is perfect.
  15. aw that is nice comment. And yes we do in USA like to eat say 5:30 - 6:30 on average. Still I was amazed at the selection of times. The list was in 15 minutes segments kind of like a real restaurant. I was happy to have a great selection and for my Princess cruise in Alaska, I ate in the MDR a lot compared to other cruise lines. Fettuccini alfredo was excellent in MDR and better than in some speciality restaurants on other ships.
  16. yes have a good time. Would love to know what changes were made from Celebration. I suppose the theme of inside.
  17. I was on a Princess ship recently and I found it odd that one could not select any dining until payment in full. But then I was fascinated by the MDR process down to time and size of table. Wide variety to pick from. First cruise in a long time I got a spot for 6pm and table for one.
  18. boy would I love to visit the yard for a day to watch. Wondering who will be the captain and wondering what changes they will make to STAR based on first impressions of ICON. thanks for the photo. I see MEIN is being built But wondering what ship is inside the big building? Is it a Princess ship?
  19. well the Carnival Celebration has a short zip over the ship attached to their ropes courses and I believe that is it free. Nice ship too. just providing information that's all.
  20. If I have a steak that was not to my liking, I ask for a totally new steak and I usually get it. Then I check it out carefully.
  21. and while I do agree with you, I don't think the cruise lines really care and I would say until about 2025 when debt is lower and perhaps bookings as well. things will come to a head eventually
