  1. i enjoyed Mason Jar on my first day back in Apr 2022 in Ft Lauderdale. I loved the cornbread. So if you can please post who the Captain is as well as the Cruise Director and if any issues with Coco Cay and docking? thanks
  2. I did not think one could leave a ship and not return back to original port? Were you that afraid or why did you not return to NYC?
  3. Well you can always stand in back for Aqua show and ice show. I have and people leave and you can fill in sometimes. Also for main theatre try balcony just as show is starting. only comedy club is hard without reservations but honestly more and more of the comedians I have found are just ok and or crude.
  4. You are right and I am on a few cruises this year on various cruise lines. I am sailing over Thanksgiving and 4th of July as well as Memorial Day too. I suggest they try doing a test booking on web. Something doesn’t sound right
  5. YES I agree as I hate silly abbreviations
  6. It seems to me for each cruise once final payment deadline has passed, they should have a handle on how many more booking can be accepted until sailing. It would be interesting if they had a system in place that shows remaining count per lifeboat. Also they should just not bother with guaranty selling and just sell rooms. Then later after final payment they could put rooms on sale to fill ship as needed.
  7. I do spend 20k on cruising, however, full disclosure it is for 8-9 cruises in a year. So it goes to say how we spread our dollars differs from others.
  8. Not sure who you are as my reply was for Richwinn
  9. Agree and a lot of places have a rule someone from the staff has to check the room at least once a day. I know they do this at Disney hotels.
  10. oh yes I find them to be quite stealth. They listen for doors and pop head out of wherever they are. And I think even though there is a "Once a day service", if they see you and you ask for something I doubt they will turn you down. After, addl tips are still appreciated.
  11. AW yes there are some ports like that. Now you know if ever back again, thanks for including the daily quotes from the Captain and crew. Some are quite funny and or thoughtful.
  12. How appropriate to have Ham with pineapple salsa and Honolulu as destination all in the same Daily. I like both and I like Ham and pineapple on my PIZZA. yup I do
  13. Carnival Corp has to gather up the money first time will tell. I sorta like the tendering in.
  14. but is it an AQUA show?????????? sorta sounds like it but had to ask.
  15. I think if your waiter will not accommodate you, just wave for the head waiter and mention a little thing called POST cruise SURVEY. That will solve the issue and you will be taken care of.
  16. i gotta say perhaps one of you could carry a bottle for her unless of course you both want your own.
  17. I liked Anthem in 2016 (Spring) before all the changes. Great ship and fun to do over-the-side on Northstar for FREE. And I love dynamic dining with 4 different choices in menus. I enjoyed Ovation in 2019 on her first Alaskan cruise. But I remember when Sovereign came out and how special she was at the time. Here she is anchored in Labadee before they built a dock. This photo was in 1988
  18. I would not let NCL book my flights as they will put you on lesser desired routing. And I have heard if something goes wrong at airport, they are not as helpful in makes changes. I always book my own through airlines and go a day before.
  19. oh sorry to hear this about Vision. But I have done so many of the big ships I wanted to experience an older ship with traditional decor. I know that there will be no big shows or ice or water, but I think the ship will still have some fun and perhaps less loud thumping music for a change. I did sail on Equinox and I enjoyed Le Petit. Food was pretty good and the show as well. Here is a couple of photos. Also, beware there are three versions of the show. I am including 3 photos. Spain was salad and Japan was green tea cake. was a competition between 4 countries and we had to vote.
  20. agree and that is why on ships I see the buffet more and more busy. But really just put on some pants and a shirt so you can eat in MDR. I mean even at land based all-inclusive restaurants sometimes have dress codes as well. in MY opinion. dinner should differ from quick lunch by the pool in bathing suit and shorts.
  21. to make sure I would always suggest you call the cruise line and if you can't go, transfer to another sailing with just a $100 change fee
  22. I have heard the misquitoes are big in Greenland and take bug repellent
