  1. In the past week so the Price for the Premium Bar Setup went up from $150 to $230 (plus 20%) a whopping 50% increase. Glad I purchased it couple weeks ago.
  2. Ahhh.. shucks.. At least we are almost up to Double Zenith. Iain just checked his account and everything is showing fine. This happened years ago and it had something to do with an incorrect birth date (that's been there for 23 years). You might be correct - Today it says I'm 2 points away from Classic. I thought everyone was classic if they did any Points videos.
  3. No fair posting the Doggy pictures. I would have volunteered to come over and take care of the cutie. Bon Voyage. Excited to read the next installment.
  4. Normally the bag is defined as wash and fold. I've never seen it actual say anything otherwise. I guess fold can be interpreted in many ways.
  5. That will be a good question. From my reading of the website we will be required to have a monitored test at least 2 days prior to Departure on the TP/TA leg. We will also be on a B2B for Apex the first cruise being a Key West Cruise. We still have a number of BenaxNow monitored test kits so guess I'll just bring them along and if necessary do it on the ship if necessary. Since we are still about 3 months away am sure more information will be provided before we need to panic.
  6. To my knowledge - the only way to see the breakdown of the amount of OBC that you have is via your original confirmation or ask celebrity or Agent to break it down for you. You can however see what you have used under Order History. I should caution that earlier this year celebrity had a glitch and applied extra OBC by mistake and then later took it away irritated some who had booked things with it and then got a bill and had to go in and cancel the erroneous credits.
  7. While I have no knowledge of the regulations, it also may be someone at Celebrity Cruise screwed up. We had that happen on in NYC We were on a TA - Beaches to Broadway with an overnight in NYC. First time I've ever berthed in Manhattan before. Someone at Celebrity screwed up and got the wrong License / Permit and they had to close all the bars for the full two days we were there - including Retreat. They could only sell and serve Beer and Wine at one bar, Retreat and dining rooms.
  8. Best way is usually to call your Agent or Celebrity and ask them to change your booking using your existing reservation. If you booked with Celebrity you can actually do it yourself by selecting Change Room and then change sailing and it will tell you the cost and perks in the booking process. If prices are the same you might be better off booking it while aboard Edge (unless that would put you past final payment). You will get additional perks. They are unable to change an existing booking on board and give you perks as they are only offered for new bookings. They weren't even able to book a cruise I had on hold. They had to do it as a new booking.
  9. We also did it last month and even though no Retreat Sundeck we felt pampered and had a great time.
  10. If the price is attractive and you are comfortable would do it in a minute. In addition the the much larger space you will have a little more privacy with the bathroom. CS your son will need to traverse your bedroom to get to the bathroom. Also additional benefits - 2 Liter Bottles of Liquor of Choice and Bar Setup. Unlimited Specialty Dining and Free Laundry. You probably won't use the balcony much as it will be chilly but is really spectacular going through the Inland Passage and Glacier. You might even enjoy a hot soak in your outdoor Jacuzzi or use the other one in your bedroom. Also the Bathtub/Shower combo in a CS you take your life into hand when you try to get in and out of the VERY HIGH tub. The RS has both a standalone shower and a Jacuzzi tub
  11. Those Kobe Beef Sliders are making me salivate. I've never had one in all our travels. One suggestion for Red - On the Luminae Cobb salad they have pork belly which to me is nothing more that chunks of fat with no flavor. I have them substitute bacon and add some extra blue cheese. I think the pork belly would offer a nice addition if it were rendered and crispy.
  12. Thanks for taking the time to do a Live Post. Really happy that I can follow along and live vicariously through you to survive until our next cruise. You have me drooling over your dinner last night.
  13. I pulled up a chair and will be along to read your interesting Live Post. Loving the details and the pictures. I don't think we have ever been to Tampa and your pictures show a charm I would not have envisioned Bon Voyage.
  14. Just from my perspective. In 23 years of cruising on Celebrity we only went to OV for dinner once. That was because Iain wasn't feeling well and suggested I grab a bite there instead of going to a sit down dinner. I'm not saying this is Luminae, Luminae - I believe it was when we all ate in the MDR before Blu and Luminae. On top of there the only time we ever had room service for Dinner was when we were in isolation for Covid and took us 3 hours to get dinner.
  15. Maybe they are British Baked Beans -- They don't have pork with their beans. It is often a mainstay of may young and teens - Beans on Toast or Pizza. Iain being British much prefers Heinz British Baked Beans.
  16. Under your cruise in teal - Select a Different Cruise - Go to bottom after all your upcoming cruises and select Browse our Ships - Select Ship then Cruise.
  17. My experience recently on Solstice was they do have the Filet, New York and Sirloin as well as Lobster. The Filet and New York were good bu for Sirloin they served something round that looked like a roast beef but flavorless. Maybe just my particular order. I think it may be the same they are listing as Manhattan Steak in MDR. Also noticed that one of the favorites in MDR (first night Prime Rib) was still on menu but later in the cruise. Possibly the New York night in Lumina.
  18. We are not big eaters and usually have to insist that our waiter would only give us a single Entree and often order 1/2 entree instead. For us It will have no effect whatsoever, but can understand whether others that enjoy large portion may be concerned. I think the only time I ever ordered a second entree was in Blu and they had a Beyond Burger on the anytime menu. I had never had one and told the waiter I probably wouldn't eat it but wanted to try it. All I can say... It definitely was nothing like a hamburger and so happy I didn't order it as my main entree. When we dine in Tuscan we always order 1/2 of an entree and usually find it almost too much to eat. While you can order multiple sides we usually jut have one of their fantastic soups an Entree and desert.
  19. I love the track on the EClass ships. The track is clear of chairs and tables but of course you have the sheep grazing with no awarness walking 4 wide. I just say on your left and they get out of the way. They do have written - Walking - Jogging with a middle line but of course most ignore. It is much better than M and S Class I like that there is a gentle climb between decks which gives a nice cardio boost.
  20. Generally after final payment there is no accommodation for price reduction after the end of Cruise with confidence. You could however upgrade to a higher class as long as the new room is at least $1 more than you paid. Having said that I once had the same situation. The agent said no but my agent called a high level contact at Celebrity and they upgraded us. This was almost 20 years ago.
  21. Yes you an cancel by dropping by the specialty, retreat host or on you own in the App. Anything charged to OBC will be refunded to OBC.
  22. I was thinking if Carla can knock down 2 Liters of Tanquery and all that beer and wine she's a true sailor. Our last cruise we had to bring a Liter home with us and it was a 14 day cruise. Carla - Love the photos of your room and seeing how much you enjoy your RS. Wait till you try the PH. We sailed in a RS afterward and Iain said... geeze this room seem small. I said wait for the SS.
  23. We were last at Embassy Suites about 9 months ago in April. I have to agree she is showing her age and even our TV's did not have HDMI connections - while all rooms we preciously had did have them. At the high price I was surprised that when spending 2 nights they did no offer room being cleaned or serviced daily. I'll be doing some more looking but wanted Fort Lauderdale also I still have a no fee cancellation up until 72 hours prior to arrival.
  24. That's not uncommon on some really heavily sold cruises. I had one and was on hold for almost a year before I saw a room pop up in an S2 for a little more than I had paid so I upgraded and had an assigned room On another occasion I had never been assigned a room but luckily won and upgrade to a S1 two days prior to the cruise.
  25. I'm also looking forward to her Comparison but will definitely enjoy her Celebrity RS experience first.
