Looked at Celebrity's Website
With the new pricing it looks like they eliminated the Classic Non-Alcoholic Package
Sorry to see it go that is the one that most fit with what we needed.
We booked the cruise when prices were a bit lower.
Depending on who you talk to Royal is on par with Carnival. So budget to mid.
The OV cabin on this ship is decidedly smaller than most. We booked a mid-ship OV only because the seas can be rough, especially the Atlantic at that time of year, and midship low is probably the best location if rough seas. The only really stable ship for a TA crossing is the QM2. There is significant risk if you tend to get seasick.
You might want to buy a dining package if the price is reasonable. Royal has revamped the MDR menu (if I had known this at the time I would not have booked). I did buy two lunches at chops.
There is no mention of the classic non-alcohol drink package. It looks like only the PREMIUM non-alcohol drink package will be available going forward.
According to the drink package FAQ:
What Drink Packages are available on Celebrity Cruises?
Celebrity Cruises has a variety of Drink Packages available.
Classic Drink Package
Premium Drink Package
Zero Proof Drink Package (Premium Non-Alcoholic Drink Package)
Is Celebrity still offering the non-alcoholic packages. I just signed on and looked at my 2 upcoming cruises and they are no longer there. They are less than 45 days away.
I recently booked airfare from Italy to the US and it was definitely cheaper to book round-trip (Italy-NY-Italy). If I can use the return ticket to Italy in the fall great, if not the return ticket just gets thrown out.
I am sailing Britannia on QE. I am guessing the best bar for a well-crafted cocktail would be the Commodore Club.
I am asking because I don't want to waste time and money trying out each location.
I care about a correctly made cocktail, with the proper ingredients (not just pour out of the box cocktail mix), not just having lots of alcohol.
I am also not trying to start a war about prices. I do not expect a well-crafted cocktail to be cheap.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Have signed up for the classic non-alcohol package on upcoming cruise. On previous cruise had AI.
For us, we just don't normally drink enough for the alcohol package. When we had AI we drank too much because it was included.
We do however drink lattes, cappuccinos, bottled water, and soda.
If you have travel insurance make a claim. Also contact Royal and see if they will cover any costs. If it broke once it was aboard the ship I think it is their problem. Not sure how you could prove that.
