  1. This would be interesting to me on a sea day afternoon. I hope it is not meant to be evening entertainment!
  2. We love the Signature Suites but it would depend on the itinerary. If it's a cruise with very few sea days I would probably go with the verandah. The one exception to that was when I cruised with my mom instead of my husband. It was worth it for that 7 day cruise just to have the extra room. My mom brings a lot of stuff!😁 Personally, I've never seen the value of a Neptune Suite. The amenities offered don't appeal to me and just don't justify the cost IMO.
  3. Earlier it was reported that they were on a zip-line excursion so most were probably somewhat fit.
  4. Yes. I believe you have to transfer within 30 days of booking.
  5. Are art auctions back? We didn't have them our our last cruise but that was almost a year ago.
  6. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures! It's so fun to follow a "Live" thread where people are out and exploring.
  7. We're going on our cruise with the expectation that masks will be required. If they're not, we'll be pleasantly surprised. But I wouldn't book a cruise if the possibility of masking is a deal breaker.
  8. Well, you do get to pay more for the crew incentive!😁 Seriously, there is not much in the way of any extra amenities. You do earn 2x the mariner points but I don't think the price is worth it. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/suites-staterooms.html
  9. To me that is kind of a backwards policy. I would prefer someone was allowed to use the cabana if the original people wouldn't be using it, rather than having more people at one time there because they paid extra. It could get a bit crowded if people were allowed to pay for extra guests.
  10. I'm glad you were able to get a cabin you'll be happy with!
  11. My guess would be that HAL (and all of the others) are putting their ships on the itineraries with the highest demand and profitability.
  12. Many public libraries are moving towards front facing displays. Patrons, especially those browsing for something different, enjoy seeing the covers rather than the spines of the books. I switched our children's books over to front facing and it has increased our circulation numbers quite a bit. I would love to do it for our adult books but our set up doesn't lend itself to that type of display.
  13. Safe travels! I can't wait to follow along with your adventures!
  14. Could it be related to Covid numbers on each ship? You wouldn't want the captain mingling with guests if the numbers are high. Just a guess, as I really have no idea.
  15. I don't think St. Thomas would be an issue but Grand Turk would require some government assistance. Certainly not ideal but I'm sure there is a process in place in those situations.
