  1. I think what the OP is asking about is photos where someone has overlaid the numbers based on the deck plans, not that the numbers were painted on the outside of the ship/balcony.
  2. Same with me, but the person I was responding to seemed to indicate it was for consumption on the cruise. On my last cruise my tablet (my primary video content consumption device while on the trip) was stowed in the safe for all but about 2 hours each night.
  3. Are you sure? The wording, direct from the website is this: As a benefit of Card Membership, you can check your first bag free on Delta flights booked with your Card This website - https://www.delta.com/us/en/baggage/checked-baggage/first-checked-bag-free
  4. No, it's tied to the card of the person for who it was purchased.
  5. It wouldn't be horribly difficult to match a deck plan to a picture of the side of the ship to get an idea. On Breakaway the Waterfront is on deck 8, count up from there. match up the "humps" as landmarks for cabins...
  6. People REALLY need to read the entire comment/statement when it's said that someone recovering from COVID can test positive for an extended period of time after they have recovered. While I did single out the quoted person, this is simply because they were the latest to do this, there have been NUMEROUS people over the last 18 months that have done the same...
  7. That depends on your patience with buffering, but the only one of those that supports even close to a live TV stream is Hulu. All the rest are video on demand and can cache better than YTTV live streams. Also - the primary focus for YTTV is location as it's entirely unavailable unless your location shows in the US. Regardless - I would anticipate the needs/desires of whoever is planning to watch the content vs. spending time enjoying the cruise and ship and pre-download as much as you can.
  8. @RoperDK this is all I found on the official support page - https://support.google.com/youtubetv/answer/7193651?hl=en#zippy=
  9. It's not too much unlike the Scarlet Lady and her sisters from Virgin Voyages. Not surprising since they're also built by Fincantieri...
  10. I guess you skipped the second item in the FAQs...
  11. When I sailed in March I believe the 2 big shows (Elements and Footloose) had 4 showings each, 2 shows on each of 2 days for each show. 7:30 and 9:30 come to mind as the show times. If that's not them, they're close. Look for some recent 'live' threads (use the drop-down at the top of the forum to get the pre-coded search for topics on the Joy) and see if anyone posted the dailies. Edit: I was off by 30 minutes on each, at least based on the first daily I found. 7 and 10 PM for the first day of showings of Footloose on a recent cruise. Here's the thread, you can go find the rest of the dailies -
  12. There should be a link on the e-doc to download the luggage tags. It's near an icon that looks like a suitcase.
  13. As for watching your home local programming while traveling - you just can't watch it LIVE. Once it's recorded you can stream it. The 4K package only adds the ability to cache to the device for watching offline. I believe I opened the YTTV app while I was out of the country on my last cruise and I was subsequently greeted by a message about international availability (or lack of). In fact - there's a support article on the YTTV site that explains the access restriction for international travel, just type 'international' in the search box. Here's what it says - You can't access any programs on YouTube TV while traveling internationally.
  14. It's a precaution to take, you have no idea what the other end is plugged into. Most are going to be innocuous, but you just don't know. I also prefer to plug my own adapter into 110 and charge through that, or use my portable battery to charge my device.
  15. Only if you pay extra for the 4K package, which also includes the ability to download for offline playback. YTTV only works in the US, as others have said. Sometimes the ship's network shows as being in the US, sometimes not. As someone else indicated, your home local content will only be available in your library after recording, you won't be able to watch it live, you'd need a VPN endpoint in your local area to get that content live. YTTV has different network requirements than those services. YTTV streams live TV and works with a minimal buffer, those services you mention can buffer 10, 15, 20, 30 seconds of video before playing because they're not trying to keep it "live" like YTTV does so they can work on slower networks.
  16. I booked my own as I was able to book at the Embassy Suites near LAX for under $200 for the night.
  17. There are any number of cabin tours on YouTube that probably show the power outlets, the first one I clicked on did...
  18. It's almost as if NCL wants you to find the information it's in the FAQs of the sail-safe page - https://www.ncl.com/refund-and-cancellation-policy-covid-19
  19. I believe the Prima class is built on Fincantieri's 'Project Mille' design. It's likely Meyer just didn't have a design concept that NCL wanted to go with for this class so they didn't get the contract (Fincantieri wouldn't allow NCL to take the design concept and have another yard build it). I doubt it was a "divorce", it was just that there wasn't the design they wanted. Look at RCI - they had ships in progress with both Meyer AND St. Nazaire (Quantum class at Meyer, Oasis class at St. Nazaire).
  20. That search box is VERY useful...
  21. @AmazedByCruising our resident (retired) engineer that spent time in the cruise industry may be able to answer those questions. @chengkp75 any insight? My opinion - design and engineering being what it is today I doubt the ship will fail to reach the milestones required by the cruise line. Also remember that this is not REALLY a "first of its kind" ship - this is based on a design program by Fincanteri that other lines have bought as well and are already sailing.
  22. That's covered in the T&C's I linked, but they didn't read it before posting so I guess they wouldn't at this time either...
  23. Unless you're booking more than you have SDP credits for and want to do cover-charge venues, it doesn't matter. Book for how many people you want to dine together, payment or use of the credit will be sorted out at the table.
  24. Book any venue of either type that you wish. At the a-la-carte venues your only restriction should be a single entree, other courses can have multiple items ordered. Some items have an up-charge if you're using a SDP credit. I' thought I responded to a thread on this exact topic recently (I mean, it comes up, A LOT) but I couldn't find it.
