  1. We don’t know where they source their supplies from or what they pay for it so without knowing that fact you can’t say they have marked it up.
  2. For me it’s Prosecco. It goes with everything whatever colour the meat or flavour / texture of the dessert.
  3. I just tip my cabin steward and the waiters. I don’t miss the money and I am sure it helps them. I can afford to tip extra and don’t see why not, particularly the waiters. I am very fussy and I don’t have a single meal without asking for some alternative to what’s on offer. If they have sorted it for me I feel thy have earnt a bonus by the end of the week.
  4. I don’t have a problem with that .
  5. I have nearly recovered by initial spend in OBC and will be in profit by next year. Even if they drop back I will up on the deal as I can still get OBC and still have the shares.
  6. Look at it another way if you had not booked a select fare you would not have been able to move it. So although you spend £200 to get £180 back at least you could move and not lost your deposit which you may have had to do to move cabins.
  7. My understanding from talking with friends they are strict on ages and children can only attend the relevant group for their age.
  8. Currently onboard QV and late dinner is 8 15 and late show 10.00
  9. I would say yes as the late show starts at 10 and late dinner starts at 8 15 so although dinner is 15 mins earlier the show is earlier too so the time frame is the same .
  10. I remember working with a French lady years ago who came from just outside the official Champagne vineyards. She told me that Cremant was as good as champagne the only difference in some cases was that grapes grew in a vineyard the “other side of the road” so couldn’t be officially classed as Champagne. I have drink it ever since . Always stock up when I am in France.
  11. British Chapel Down is as firm family favourite with us and wins many awards.
  12. Oh March that gives me a long time to weigh up my options
  13. Oh that’s a shame I thought they were a good compromise. Like you I don’t do flying but there was enough out of season to excite me. I always like something in December to see the decorations.
  14. No it’s the dining mainly that is exclusive but, you as you refer to you will still need to follow the Cunard dress code to eat in the Britannia Restaurant or the other paid for restaurants. Other than the Grills lounge, terrace and lounge the rest of the ship is open to everyone. They would be able to join you in Britannia but you would need to check with M D first.
  15. No outside furniture was changed. I checked. As I don’t remember there ever being anything wrong with the chairs in Britannia level 2 I wouldn’t have noticed if they had been changed.
  16. So pleased to see so many ex Southampton U K QV offerings. As I don’t fly I thought after 2025 ,would be like QE for me, a fond memory.
  17. I have my eye on a few already and that’s only from 2 ships. I was hoping to retire in 2025. Don’t think I will be able to afford to now.
  18. Look forward to your updates. Thank you for your efforts. Much appreciated.
  19. Yes that’s what I am afraid off. It won’t go with a wallet full of cards and will be too thick presumably? I imagine it’s the size of an air-tag? Petty I know.
  20. Very tempted to look at the 24 night Aurora one. Not interested in sailing with anyone else.
  21. Looks amazing. I bet they will be popular.
  22. I would hate cards to go. I keep all mine in special purses/ wallets. I think they are really designed for multiple banks cards. I love flicking back through them and remembering the various cruises. I would be disappointed if they just stopped. I am supposed to be going on a Princess Cruise in 2025 but I am really put off that I won’t get a card for my collection.
  23. I always tip room steward. I would tip waiters on fixed dining. I am not going to miss what I leave but I am sure it’s a welcome bonus to the recipient. I feel lucky to have the health and opportunity to cruise. I have never had such poor service that I wouldn’t leave anything. I didn’t leave as much as I normally would once when,I felt the service had been a bit meh.
  24. I am the same. I always book direct either onboard or through call centre. My bookings are never complicated.
  25. I love a sheltered balcony and for an Atlantic crossing a definite win. I crossed both ways in August this year. On the outward. It was so windy the outside decks were closed for several days. It was not cold so I enjoyed sitting in my balcony. I did even get some sun. They are considerable bigger than a normal balcony. I have been on deck 4 and 5 . 4 midships would be first choice for Atlantic and I understand the Caribbean can be lively too but as I have never been I can only go by what I have been told.
