  1. The decision to require ticketing for seat selection varies by airline. It is not secret. If EzAir was a travel agent they would be required to know and disclose the fine print. EzAir is NOT a TA and their employees are not certified Travel Agents. Ticketing rules are complicated. Delta has over 50 fare classes - each with different rules and restrictions. Where we agree is that EzAir should be required to provide ALL rules in writing at the time a reservation is made. They are not required to do so. It falls upon the buyer - right or wrong - to go to the airline website during the 24 hour cancelation period to read and understand (yeah right) the rules. You can disagree with me or not. The OP stated what happened.
  2. You can look at my posts elsewhere as there are multiple threads asking almost the same thing. My answer as one that lived and worked in AK is take a cruise out of Seward. Lots to do there including Exit Glacier. At least 2 nights. Nothing in Whittier. Start in ANC and spend a week to Fairbanks via Denali and return or do the loop.thru Tok and Glenallen. Just my 2 cents
  3. To the OP really simple answer using an example. DW and I organized an antique car tour driving across the US for 55 couples. 28 nights at 20 motels/hotels and included all breakfasts, 20 lunches, 6 dinners etc. We organized the event as unpaid volunteers. At the final banquet and along the way we dealt with petty problems every day that each couple decided to have us handle. DW in tears often. After the event received 5 notes. 3 thank yous and 2 demanding a refund for meals they missed. Human nature to complain publicly, but not give thanks.
  4. Any perks from your TA generally do not become available until after you board. The reason is you once they send the $$ to the cruise line it is done and you could cancel.your cruise. The only way to do book this now is to pay for the reservation then do a cancel rebook IN PERSON once you are onboard. That will avoid any mess up. Thus calling Princess will not help.
  5. Steelers, in a consolidator block selecting a seat requires ticketing. The OP asked about selecting seats and this generated ticking earlier.
  6. So sorry. Be really careful when using a consolidator like EzAir. You probably said something when you booked about wanting to select seats. That requires ticketing. All I know to do now (worked as a TA selling group airline packages long long ago) is call the airline directly giving you booking code see what you can do. I tip, call on the weekends or early evening to get US based agents.
  7. Any non caffinated fruit teas like Forte Raspberry, Orange Spice etc available?
  8. Would do neither prepackaged tour. Have organized multiple tours all are similar except for duration. Fly to Anchorage. 2 nights. Alaska State Museum and various sights Drive to Healy. Tour Denali on the way there. Overnight BnB in Healy Drive to Fairbanks. 2 nights. Lots of attractions. Cleary Summit and Chena Hot Springs get a taste of rural Alaska. Return to Fairbanks either direct or via North Pole,Glenallen (overnight) to Anchorage. Return car. Shuttle to Whittier. I note Seward is a great town with lots to do. We cruise other lines to cruise our of Seward and native full day boat your, Exit Glacier etc. Very pretty. Need 2 nights. Pier 5 minutes from town center.
  9. Sure. Just cancel using the same method you booked - app, Princess, cvp
  10. The service will be conducted by the religious person on board. Have had ministers, rabbis, priests, an imam and lay people from other churches. Very non denominational
  11. Be aware that taxis are unbelievably expensive in Reykjavik and if attempting to board a cruise there likely to have a long wait. In 2022 it took up.to 3 hours to get a $50 taxi ride to go a few miles! Organize a transfer to the port with your hotel. Grayline runs shuttles to town and back from the airport. Hiring a car? Airport pickup best and downtown airport drop off. Give someone there some $$ to drop you at the port. Important, arrange parking ahead of time with your hotel. Many hotels in the centrum have limited parking. Ours had 130 rooms and 5 parking spaces for guests.
  12. Wondering why you are bothering to post here? HAL and others welcome solo cruisers with solo fares that you like. Has been this way for 30 years. Not likely to change.
  13. Think already clear that the menus shown on the app are not necessarily what will happen. Celebrity serves "lobster" that is a poor warm water cousin of the cold water lobster found in Alaska and Maine.
  14. What good would be a deal where you needed to send out 3 pretty large bags at the same time? About 100 items. We were told to write free, take home bag on the ticket by our steward. Am sure that will vary.
  15. Because being slightly challenged with electronic devices; it takes me longer to see it on my TV. Plus I have a printed record of every charge and credit to my account along with the coding like OBCR or where the transaction happened. The printed report has more detail is my main reason. Don't need to try to remember. I do get the report when walking by Guest Relations (not a special trip) and there is nobody there.
  16. At that time the buffet was barely operating. Things are lots closer to precovid now. You are indeed overthinking this. As said we can usually go to the buffet mid morning and nobody there. Lots of changes since September 2022.
  17. According to my experience you have 3 bags of laundry that can be sent in as needed. Just not the last 2 days of your cruise. They do not need to be used at the same time. Cannot imagine most cruisers would have enough dirty clothing to fill 3 bags unless traveling with kids.
  18. Am I correct that the only person who gas reached out to your husband is Abraham in guest relations? Nobody? As for medical, your husband was treated to wash his eyes etc and given oxygen as he experienced a panic attack. You have said several times you want a medical report - now. What are you expecting it to say? Per your description he was exposed to raw sewage and the exposed area cleansed. He had a panic attack and was given oxygen. There really is not much else one can say medically.
  19. You need to be more specific. What ship? What itinerary? Hundreds of reviews on cruises the cover every ship.
  20. HAL had canvas bags last year for their 150th Anniversary. Sure would like more bags like that.
  21. They have not changed since December when Prof Cruise prices were updated. The could change again but not by much.
  22. Easier to say what is the same. Almost nothing. Cruiselines are fighting labor, food, fuel costs and huge debt. Trying to cut where they can. The experience is very different .
  23. If porting in Portugal you likely will be able to take a bottle of Port purchased in Portgual directly to your cabin
  24. On longer cruises there are usually anywhere from a handful to maybe 20 children. Not an issue. Have been in the Solarium when a couple teens got a bit boisterous. Their behavior was corrected by a parent.
  25. A very mini treatment. Hard sell - no; but certainly offered at least once or twice.
