  1. Doesn't matter whether Celebrity, Princess, HAL or Royal. Give them one try to complete online check in. If it fails simply take your confirmation from the cruise line (and TA) to the pier. Most issues are with software on our computers. I always try printing mine at a library or other such location. Easier.
  2. The tags would not come from your TA. Why are you wanting the crappy paper tags that are part of your edocs? Just have them tag your bags at the pier. FWIW in Iceland they had 2 porters doing tags. Took less time than waiting in line to drop tagged bags off.
  3. You are very limited. Thursday morning before 9am would likely be the last chance. FWIW with only 5 days except for a bit of dry cleaning, why bother?
  4. You miss the point of ArriveCAN app. It allows one to enter passport, personal and vaccination data ONCE. You then simply insert date and port of entry each time you enter Canada. Takes 2 minutes. Makes customs and border crossing very fast. Not sure what your drug comment has to do with ArriveCAN.
  5. You must book your cruise/residefrom those countries. Has nothing to do with where the ship goes.
  6. If you look and sound unwell then they check further. Nothing different from before covid. Getting on board when one is sick is pretty silly.
  7. Luggage tags are the last page of your edocs. FWIW do not stress over them. Just take your luggage to the port and they will tag them there.
  8. Complete agree. I use the $5 match play coupons and occasionally buy chips with a 110% promo deal. Otherwise stay away from the casino.
  9. The cruise ship already sent the manifest to the port authorities. The manifest has your passport details. If there was an issue you would be notified usually before embarkation. The manifest is sent out about an hour before sailing. Only takes seconds to verify everything with computers today.
  10. What is so complicated? You need to complete ArriveCAN to enter Canada. Doesn't matter how. .car, walking, airplane. You then need to enter your details again for your cruise. Oy takes a minute the second time as your basic data is saved. When we spent time in Point Roberts WA and went to a store we crossed into Canada each time. EVERY trip we simply updated the app. You do not usually need to show the app because the ArriveCAN info is tied to your passport and Canada matches that with the Ship's Manifest.
  11. You certainly had problems with your WiFi connection. Understandable. You were upset and entered some possibly incorrect data into ArriveCAN. All you needed or still need to do is login to the ArriveCAN app and enter the data again. All your personal data such as vaccination and passport will be there. Takes a couple minutes. Have not heard any issue with ArriveCAN yet. As for Canada selecting you for a covid test, that policy has been in place for some months. You simply needed to provide them a copy of the same negative test you showed the cruiseline. For others with WiFi issues would it be less stressful to simply pay for a bit of data when overseas? We paid $4.75. for 19 minutes of time to guarantee we could complete our proctored covid test and get the results.
  12. If it is offered there were two restrictions in the past - Flight from FLL departure after 11:30am and no all airlines participated. You likely will not know until on board if it is offered.
  13. We got 2 pairs of jeans, 5 t-shirts, socks and 12 pcs of underwear in a bag. The bags are not the same on all ships. Transitioning to a uniform cloth bag. Also on a TA takes 2 days to get back and cannot send out last 3 days.
  14. As said who knows. Use a government free covidctest and test with Rapidtestandtrace.com or another proctored test. Impossible without knowing where you are staying. Bottom line is IF your flight is on time and IF your flight doesn't change and IF your luggage arrives and IF customs goes quickly maybe 2 hours. Again it could be the next day.
  15. We have gotten the discount when we paid for guests.
  16. Absolutely no need to print. ArriveCAN is matched to your passport. If flying or driving to Canada it works immigration to answer those questions thus faster at the border . On a ship they match the passport number from the Ship's Manifest to the app. No reason to print. To the OP - It does require a specific graphics program for printing. Lots easier to simply download if you want to guarantee you have a copy. In some 30 crossings since April have never been asked - had always updated ArriveCAN for every crossing.
  17. Deserts on Summit was the only area NOT self serve. When there were lots of people we opted some served themselves deserts, but very orderly in all areas.
  18. Often drink package doesn't show. However you are saying the reservation has message saying "cancelled". That is very different. Certainly need to contact X or your TA
  19. Through special needs at Celebrity at least 2 weeks before you cruise. They will take your Mum to her cabin and she can immediately pickup her rented wheelchair. She can access her cabin immediately. They probably can make it available quickly with a pile request on board.
  20. OnSummit recently most were quarantined in their own cabin because simply put ship was full. Masks requested in theater and casino but not enforced. Lots of coughing and several dozens of passengers in quarantine.
  21. Same garbage different day. A self test is simply that. Can you fake a date? Sure. Same as a proctored test can be faked. Just go through the motions and ignore the comments that offer up implied rules.
  22. Agree with Rich. While I have not seen Jameson on any "list" with Celebrity (it is with Royal); buying a drink that costs $11 with the Classic package MAYBE costs you $2.40! Much of the time the bartenders to don't bother with the tiny upcharge. On Summit recently we were NEVER charged the extra. Silly to even discuss over a dollar or two. If I drink 15 Jamesons a day I have a far worse problem than deciding which drink package!
  23. You never know. Was available recently on Summit for 2 days of a 12 day cruise then sold out. Have not usually found it on board in prior years.
  24. Mary - the company that ran Luggage Valet is no longer in business. In Seattle the Port of Seattle operates the service. Could someone start up.a Luggage transfer service? Absolutely. Lots of other cities where it used to be offered.
