I've done 3 on ncl and enjoyed the food. Food and shows is my main criteria. Might have come down since but I really liked ncl. Did all the generic lines except msc. I dont eat italian. Afraid of their food. Just me, dont like pasta, cooked tomatoes etc. I love carnival white pizza. No sauce. So good. Carnival jubilee and ncl prima still on my list to book.

Well radiance isnt that new. I only booked it because its swinging by Galveston and doing some special 9 days to coco cay and 10 days to Panama. I'm a big ship fan I'll be honest. I also jumped on the 8 day harmony to coco cay in 2024. And have the 14 day carnival dream for the ports. Mostly big oasis class except for some with special ports. Wish you could join us. Yes exactly! John has a Bella thread in the float away lounge we talked on all during covid and someone said we ought to meet. Its Laura's birthday this week and supposedly wasnt as expensive as out of cape Canaveral but wasnt cheap. Most who booked early grabbed the "29" cabins in central park as best value for a pricey cruise. Prices started over $2300, but we got a decent price drop. I haven't meet either face to face and I'm not going to impress. I broke my right wrist and it had to be set twice. The next day my mom had a stroke and then passed. Funeral was last friday. I'm the only trustee or I'd be on a cruise. I'm booked for the ten day radiance OTS leaving today from Galveston. Was doing to finally see the locks. Obviously I will be a no show for my 10 day cruise leaving today. But yep anyone can come join for the cruise in honor of Bella. We cant promote on rcl threads. But references are on this thread. I only have meet a few so far since planning days. This is what a double wide 29 balcony looks like. Same cheap price but the balcony is twice as long. I'm across the park from john. Has 2 loungers, 2 uprights and a table. Sometimes cheaper than a regular inside.

Well not every room requires $500 deposit. I'm solo and if I book direct I pay $250 deposit. If I book a group rate I pay the deposit for 2 people. $500. On a 7 day cruise. I had a $900 deposit on a 11 day cruise, group rate, so it must be $450 pp.

You cancelled one cabin that was nonrefundable already? You could have moved it for $100 pp but cant cancel it totally. Idk if you just asked or already did it. @Ourusualbeachmight be able to tell you though I'm confused if you already cancelled or not.

I looked yesterday and posted this on another thread. That's been the normal price for chops on my radiance cruise but its $10 more for allure. Seems to be less on older ships. I asked why but no one said the menu is different or why. One week apart, both march. Just the class of ship.

Idk as I hardly gamble but I'd read it can be a pretty big perk. Half way or even a free casino cruise. It is controversial to some. I've read both sides. No right answer. Lol I have one roll call with 3 slot pulls a year almost away. Run it and it's up to everyone if they want to join. I'll never have enough pts for a casino offer so makes no difference to me.

He said he got the meal for 34.99 which to me is quite a bit of food. It's not one sushi order. His post said izumi wasnt taking ala carte orders. I also ran into cant have izumi for diamond plus bogo on grandeur which isnt the norm but was left in my cabin saying this. They can make their own rules. Ok its chops and Giovanni instead. No izumi.

Yes that's exactly it. There were reports even in nov where one time limit. Some ships hadnt enforced it yet. One time to playmakers or izumi per night. You got it. One time per night.

The 4 drinks are any where, any time, even for breakfast. The diamond lounge opens with your sea pass card. Some snacks and tea and coffee in there. Nice conversation.

Ok that's what I thought. So what we saw in dec is still there. None of us had unlimited.

Sorry for your loss. I'm in the same situation with the unexpected loss of my mom. And a broken wrist I start pt for tomorrow. So much paperwork. I posted about 4 pieces of sushi after my dec b2b so many of us have read my posts and others. The new no ala carte, is that just if you purchased the unlimited? If it applied to all surely they would cross it off.

We had a allure sailing crazy full of pinnacles. I was told by more one pinnacles were allowed one lunch and one dinner each. I think 183 onboard. I would say paying guests, js and above higher priority.

Rcl now also has you sign for free drinks. Cant remember when it changed. Its obviously a way to get you to tip.

That's what I would do. IAH is about twice as far as Hobby.

Tea time long gone. I did a b2b on breeze and wasnt happy with the free dinner foods. Vista on,y did lobster night, the rest pay venues. Fewer choices on breeze. That being said I'm booked on dream 14 days, because of the ports. Excursions to new ports might cost a mint, so I'll see how many pay restaurants. The ship is nice enough, just didnt really like dinner choices. It was enough to push me back to rcl. I bounce back and forth. Cant wait for the ports and rcl doesnt offer them out of texas. Must be popular, the price keeps going up. Gty inside now over 3k before taxes. Pizza is good on carnival. Lobster rolls in the fish place. The big fried fish was only like 10.99.

I do think cruises are different than anything else requiring final payment 90 days ahead. Not even airlines do this. Of course loyalists think this is great and we knew the rules and rush to defend. When I try to tell a newbie no refunds after final payment they look at me like I'm crazy. Ive had several people tell me they are sure I'm wrong. If I'd just call the cruiseline would understand and refund or move my cruise. They cant believe I'm missing a cruise next monday and losing the money. My March 12 oasis chops is always $10 more than march 27 radiance. Look at chops and Giovanni on the 2 ships. It hasnt varied. Same menu right? Both in march. Both say 15% off too, the going price says it's different.

I think all the ships are the same. JS and up has better toiletries ... or if you are over 340 pts. 1 maybe 2 round bars of soap and one combo dispenser in the shower. Bring your own.

I agree with the other poster. The 60% off is the same as 30% off both. You must not travel solo, it's not any better, it comes out the same.

Well let's face it, it's a bummer to lose money. OP make it a b2b so it includes your friends week.

If you are before final payment I believe it can be moved for $100 pp. Ask about that.

Carnival rarely waived the solo supplement. A few times early covid, but none for me out of Galveston. Rcl does have some solo cabins unlike carnival. Also at 340 pts solos get a discount. I understood what you meant. I book solo and have to click through. As capacity goes up those solo deals are also about disappeared. I pushed for pts last year to get to the solo discount. They offered double pts and other incentives... when they needed to fill ships. Deals are now harder to come by. Seems everyone now wants to cruise.
