  1. Ok that's what I thought. So what we saw in dec is still there. None of us had unlimited.
  2. Sorry for your loss. I'm in the same situation with the unexpected loss of my mom. And a broken wrist I start pt for tomorrow. So much paperwork. I'm driving left handed signing left handed important legal papers. I hardly know where to start. It's so daunting left handed. I am supposed to do 10 days on radiance starting tomorrow. Not even sure I care I am missing my solo cruise.
  3. I posted about 4 pieces of sushi after my dec b2b so many of us have read my posts and others. The new no ala carte, is that just if you purchased the unlimited? If it applied to all surely they would cross it off.
  4. We had a allure sailing crazy full of pinnacles. I was told by more one pinnacles were allowed one lunch and one dinner each. I think 183 onboard. I would say paying guests, js and above higher priority.
  5. Rcl now also has you sign for free drinks. Cant remember when it changed. Its obviously a way to get you to tip.
  6. That's what I would do. IAH is about twice as far as Hobby.
  7. Tea time long gone. I did a b2b on breeze and wasnt happy with the free dinner foods. Vista on,y did lobster night, the rest pay venues. Fewer choices on breeze. That being said I'm booked on dream 14 days, because of the ports. Excursions to new ports might cost a mint, so I'll see how many pay restaurants. The ship is nice enough, just didnt really like dinner choices. It was enough to push me back to rcl. I bounce back and forth. Cant wait for the ports and rcl doesnt offer them out of texas. Must be popular, the price keeps going up. Gty inside now over 3k before taxes. Pizza is good on carnival. Lobster rolls in the fish place. The big fried fish was only like 10.99.
  8. I do think cruises are different than anything else requiring final payment 90 days ahead. Not even airlines do this. Of course loyalists think this is great and we knew the rules and rush to defend. When I try to tell a newbie no refunds after final payment they look at me like I'm crazy. Ive had several people tell me they are sure I'm wrong. If I'd just call the cruiseline would understand and refund or move my cruise. They cant believe I'm missing a cruise next monday and losing the money. I'm like no, that's how it is, they dont make exceptions. I fell and broke my arm, set twice. The day after my arm had surgery my mom had a stroke and now passed away. So I have big reasons for not going. I've told them if you dont have insurance no refunds. They are sure I'm wrong, the cruiseline would allow a refund ..they think I'm wrong.
  9. My March 12 oasis chops is always $10 more than march 27 radiance. Look at chops and Giovanni on the 2 ships. It hasnt varied. Same menu right? Both in march. Both say 15% off too, the going price says it's different.
  10. I think all the ships are the same. JS and up has better toiletries ... or if you are over 340 pts. 1 maybe 2 round bars of soap and one combo dispenser in the shower. Bring your own.
  11. I agree with the other poster. The 60% off is the same as 30% off both. You must not travel solo, it's not any better, it comes out the same.
  12. Well let's face it, it's a bummer to lose money. OP make it a b2b so it includes your friends week.
  13. If you are before final payment I believe it can be moved for $100 pp. Ask about that.
  14. Carnival rarely waived the solo supplement. A few times early covid, but none for me out of Galveston. Rcl does have some solo cabins unlike carnival. Also at 340 pts solos get a discount. I understood what you meant. I book solo and have to click through. As capacity goes up those solo deals are also about disappeared. I pushed for pts last year to get to the solo discount. They offered double pts and other incentives... when they needed to fill ships. Deals are now harder to come by. Seems everyone now wants to cruise.
  15. Carnival was just about free and I never get deals. Air fare went over 1k and people wouldnt book. $300 for a balcony to alaska and roll the dice with the airlines. Agree was so cheap. Rcl also got cheap close in.
  16. I think you should tell her so she can plan clothes and stuff.
  17. My cabin on liberty the button to flush the toilet didnt hardly work. Called maintenance 6 times. Things do break. Had one they obviously forgot to vacuum on grandeur. Keep calling maintenance. You arent the first or last with a issue. Just keep calling. Lol I had the room for 2 weeks. My finger hurt from having to push the button so many times. They finally got it to work better. Sorry. Harmony is rather new actually ... sometimes things just need fixing.
  18. There is a big thread about menus you might want to read. Menus are fleetwide.
  19. And sometimes people book for the ports. I have the one rust bucket booked because it's a 14 day journey cruise out of texas to ports I'd have to fly to florida to get to. I did a few after covid, a lot of pay restaurants and had cheers on those. I like their surf n turf in their steak restaurant which rcl no longer offers as included.. and their white pizza. I admit I'll miss my 5 included drinks and free days of wifi. But I'll see some new ports. I'd also do jubilee when it comes out. For the new foods. Variety is sometimes good. Rcl I can eat what's included. Carnival I do more pay restaurants but they are priced better too. Wish they offered planner deals like rcl. Makes me like rcl food and perks more. Sometimes it's not about the ship or best food or I'd be on HAL.
  20. I got a credit of 59.99 on allure in dec for 2 days. I think the credit went up.
  21. Yes it's a onboard perk. There will be a list in your cabin showing these when you board. Mine shows $6 casino credit, but if you go within the first 24 hours it shows as $8. Not sure about diamond, I'm diamond plus. .. but it will show on that page.
  22. I think what the op is asking is can they book at pre cruise planner prices and add the 2nd person at the planner price. Not be repriced at full price and get bogo.
  23. More than likely a passenger who is calling some maintenance as construction. Some like to exaggerate and complain.
  24. No radiance does not sail into the locks. There are 2 excursions that are quite reasonable you can book that go there. I've booked the shorter one, lol still 7 hours. Kinda long. It says it docks in colon Panama. Then take excursions. My 14 day dream also docks there and people keep asking.
  25. I think so too. And if you go to their website and check your offers, within a week they send me a email about one offer, never good though. But checking does trigger a email sometimes.
