  1. #4. Spa access: We were given access to the lotus spa thermal pool on the Royal last month. I was surprised. It was listed in the perk letter we found in the room. We took the letter with us, showed it to the staff and were given access cards. I thought this was limited to a some of the older ships. See below. The pdf states (in the link below) only available on Caribbean, Crown, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Sapphire, Island and Coral. So if on one of them great.   2. There are a few companies you can try. I know many are booked. Cruisers on Our roll call for July have used many of these companies, as have those from the 2022 roll calls. When goggling add “Iceland” to your search. Dodo, the owner at Iceland Everywhere told me the summer is very busy. So don’t delay in securing your tour.   4. Last year 6 days before our cruise ending In Amsterdam(embarking in Stockholm), we received notice that Copenhagen was dropped from our itinerary. No explanation from NCL. We found out on Cruise Critic (later confirmed once on board) the most likely reason was our timing for entry at the IJmuiden Lock. It was moved up by 12 hours. So we spend the last night in Amsterdam, instead of arriving early the next morning. But missed Copenhagen. So just plan ahead. as @Dutch_Travelgirlstates, it’s compacted.
  5. We just booked https://gunwharf-executive-travel.co.uk for our trip to LHR from Southampton. We have a long trip back to California, so wanted to do this as easy as possible. £140. Recommended on the Princess forum.
  6. We embarked a few weeks ago. We didn’t get there until about 1330. There was a long line outside, but it moved quickly. So don’t worry about that line. Bathrooms are inside. Princess personnel had I-Pads and were checking people in while they were in line. So if you’re green in the app, you are good to go. There was a line for those without the medallion. One large group tied to skip the line (more than once) and security wasn’t having any of it. We held onto our luggage all the way, no bag drop. Screening machines were large enough. I think it took about 30 minutes. When we got to the cabin, we could still see the line. About 30 minutes later, it had shrunk.
  7. We just go to a slot machine. Using the medallion, load an amount- say $50.00. Then we play a game or two, and hit cash out. Go to the cashier, say we want to cash out, tap medallion, and collect balance.
  8. Your ticketed fare may not be eligible for an upgrade and that may be the issue. I am thinking this could be the case here. Some fares aren’t. BA is not an US airline and the rules are different. It sounds like the agents are trying to figure out how to help you and perhaps the issue is the fare can’t be upgraded. This may be due to the discounted fare with EZ air. Lets us know how it works out for you.
  9. We have been to both last August. Klaipedia, we went over to the Curonian Spit. We visited Witches Hill, town of Naga and went to the further point where we could see Russia. We saw the guard towers. Part of the Curonian Spit is Russia. Then we came back into town for a town tour. We took a tour with Klaipedia Tours. Gdynia. We hired a cab at the port. We first went to a Motorcycle Museum, then over to Gdańsk, saw St.Mary church, the waterfront and then stopped by an old beach hotel resort in Gdynia on the way back.

  12. That is what what I thought. $500.00 is a lot. Same here. What I see when I purchase excursions is that the OBC comes out of each individual accounts. We both had enough for one excursion each but only one of us had enough for excursion #2 and could pay all of it. Website wouldn’t permit that. Wanted to collect from second person, while leaving a balance in first person’s account. It makes little sense in our case as stockholder’s credit is listed “per cabin”. Let us know what happens.   13. Although it is somewhat easy to upgrade on many US airlines, this is not the case with BA. BA also tacks on that LHR fuel surcharge which appears higher than others. Try looking for another flight perhaps as suggested above.
  14. The AARP Rewards website has a notice of “Maintenance” for tomorrow March 15, 0800-0930 EST. I saw it on maintenance last fall and it took a while to come back online. Maybe three weeks. Also note the website states EST and not EDT? hmmmmm.
  15. Clarification please: So are you saying you finally did get someone to process your current request to use your DH’s OBC for both of you? or That is the way it worked in the past?
  16. So, I tired the same thing recently. Each person in the cabin appears to have their own account for OBC. This may happen onboard as well. We cashed out the extra OBC in the casino and/or purchased other things in one name.
  17. Has anyone booked a shore excursion using a GC that was cancelled? Port is a tender port? My CVP will take GC as payment now. I want to reserve now, crusie in July. Got last 2 seats. How long did it take for the credit to appear on the GC? I have rebooked and had a card refunded within a day, but that was off ship. If SE is cancelled, Wondering if I can then get it applied to OBC. We will still have 10 more days until disembarking. Ty
  18. Hi we sailed on the Royal- D726 a few weeks ago. There are desks in both the bedroom and the living area with a US plug. So 2. I couldn’t find any more. No USB ports that I saw. There is a UK/Ireland plug as well.
  19. I thought about that. You could hear it right outside the door of the dinning room but not in the Piazza. It was recorded music of some type. I inquired about it and a manager told me they turned it down. But it didn’t seem to get quieter. It was more like music you would hear at one of the bars or up on the pool deck. I don’t recall loud music before either. Thanks.
  20. Thanks for the review. Question: On our recent cruise, loud music was playing in the Concerto dinning room, even at breakfast. I don’t recall that before. Has anyone else noticed that?
  21. Ok sailed in B735 on the Enchanted in September and just got off the Royal D726. So these two cabins are the same as the ones in your question. Just on opposite sides of the deck. Baja deck cabins have a decent size balcony, but more interior space. It is closer to the Suite lounge. (Deck 14) D726 (opposite of the cabin in your question) has a very large balcony but the interior was a little cramped with too much furniture. We moved some of the furniture to the bedroom which is also smaller. Deck 9 is an easy 2 flights down to deck 7. I would choose B734 for more in cabin space. Both cabins are fabulous.
  22. We are just off the Royal. We have also applied the credit to 2 future cruises. My experience is the credit is in one name and only that person can use Also went to book an excursion for a July crusie. Even though i have credit left, my better half needed to pay. This is good to know as when i move to apply a GC(s) to OBC may need to split that up.

  25. Thanks for the updates. We booked the Jan. 20, 2024, Santiago to Buenos Aires while on board the Royal this week. Did the DFW to EZE AA flight have any rear facing Biz class seats? We were moved (at the gate) to 2 of those last year. Most annoying. Thanks for the tour guide recommendation. Looks like you are enjoying your trip.
