  1. We do that with our TA when we book the cruise, any time dinning or fixed, early or late , large table or dinning for two. You'll have to wait now until you're on board
  2. Thanks to every one for all the good info on what to see & where to go.
  3. Thanks for sharing and your experience comparing the difference between the two.
  4. Things to see & do in Zeebrugge? Our plan is to just get off the ship and wander around the town.
  5. Nicely done, thanks for sharing. We'll be in that part of the world next year, gives us something to look forward to.
  6. We have never been asked for our cabin #, when we arrive at the MDR we just go to our table & sit down.
  7. Don't know why people pay for water, all the water on the ship is safe to drink, we drink a lot of water every day. For shore excursions we have water bottles which we fill on the ship before going ashore.
  8. That cabin looks very comfortable, I could enjoy cruising in that as a single. On the opposite side of this discussion I like the fact that 2nd, 3thrd passengers in the cabin are so cheap, we have taken our great grand daughter on three cruises so far & next year there will be four of us.
  9. There are single rooms on some of the ships, not sure which ones.
  10. It looks like they do read/listen to the post cruise survey. They can't fix it if we don't tell them it's broken.
  11. We were on the Nieuw Statendam 14 day Norway cruise in July and can relate to some of your points. We also had a lot of kids on our cruise, although few in the Crows Nest. Club HAL was not operating at all, I'm guessing no staff. I agree about the Lido & MDR. The music in the bars was way too loud for my taste, to each their own. Had three changes to our ports of call, no reason given. We enjoyed the cruise because it was different from our normal Med. or Caribbean cruises.
  12. I was in the Tamarind and walked out on to the Sun Deck which was open from the Tamarind and had no problem taking pictures.
  13. The boarding passes were never checked by any one at check in. On our cruise in July there was a line for priority check but it was used by every one. There was no priority boarding, it was who ever got to the door first got to board, very disorganized. This was in Copenhagen on the NS. That was my second cruise were it was first come first to board, nobody asked to see or check our boarding passes.
  14. I've seen this on different ships, it is a fun way to start your day, puts a smile on your face.
  15. Sounds like the weather in that part of the world is not getting any better. We did Norway in July & it was not the best either, rain, clouds over cast most days. Only good one decent sun set, sun rise on the 2 weeks we were on board. And the southern part of Europe is melting & burning up, or too much rain. Hope it clears up for you.
  16. We were just on the Nieuw Statendam on a two week cruise with the HIA package & we did book a night in the Canaletto as a dinning option.
