  1. Check InsureMyTrip; have contracted with them since 2003, lots of options to choose from. [thank God we never had to use the insurance].
  2. So sorry to hear about your accident, hope you are doing well now. As a point, among other things, always bring a first aid kit and make sure you contract a non-cruise sponsored travel insurance. Supporting the Celebrity staff; I can speak from first-hand experience; on our last cruise on the Reflection, while walking thru the ship, I tripped and went down like a ton on bricks. Immediately staff came over and helped me up, got a chair for me to sit and recover, brought me a bottle of water and was concerned as to my condition. After a few minutes, I was able to get up and walk. They asked if I wanted to go to the medical station; I said no, not needed. Our butler, brought me an ice back and arranged for a wheelchair to get off the ship, and they escorted me off the ship, thru customs and onto a cab. Great support from Celebrity staff.
  3. What this means is our next vacation will be on the Sandals ship 😁
  4. In simplest terms: Just did a cruise on the Reflection back in February; great ship, great staff, great service!
  5. First day on the ship, head for the MDR and speak to the maitre D; request a table for two and most likely he/she will accommodate you. We have done this since we cruised started in 2003 on several different cruise lines and have always been successful. Same table, same servers every night!
  6. We've been cruising since 2003 and have seen this issue many, many times. That's why, IMHO, vacationing at a resort like Sandals, has it over a cruise vacation. At a resort, you can reserve a lounge chair by the pool for you entire stay. Their rule is, if you don't occupy your chair by 10:00, your chair reservation is cancelled and it's available to anyone. We've done this on several vacations and it just made for a very enjoyable, relaxing stay, knowing that we would always have a lounge chair when we come back from breakfast, lunch, etc. I know that Princess Cruise line has The Sanctuary where you can reserve a chaise lounge for the entire cruise; we've done that; and it also made for a great cruise vacation.
  7. Like other personal items, we bring our own, so didn't ask for any.
  8. Just got off the Reflection; the ship is in great shape, beautiful, clean and well appointed.
  9. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask! 😄
  10. thanks for the info, have a great day!
  11. Ah ,ha! First come, First served, got it! And there's a charge for the Sanctuary? Correct? Thanks!
  12. What ships have the reserve Sanctuary for suite guests?
  13. We never felt there was an "expectation" for extra gratuities on any of our Celebrity cruises; Regarding pre-paid gratuities---we consider those a "starting point"; if service was great, we always give something extra at the end of our cruise; if there was an issue with any of the service, we never remove the pre-paid but, consider those the "ending point"! Get my drift?
  14. We just got off the Reflection; we requested and received a table-for-two in the MDR by a window. Our dinning experience in a separate section off the MDR was outstanding both; in the service and meal selection. Our same waiter and assistant waiter were professional and personal for all of our meals; made dining a pleasure. We cruise in a suite and could dine in Luminaire but, we always eat in the MDR and have NEVER been disappointed.
  15. Wife's opinion, theirs suck! And you can't use them in the bathroom, no outlet, have to go by the desk / mirror.
  16. Best bet...phone early in the morning!
  17. Maybe things have changed! (for the better).
  18. We prefer the MDR instead of the Laminae because the last time we ate in Laminae there were a lot of "snooty" people looking down their noses at us. It just left a bad feeling and we were very uncomfortable. That was a few year back and would never try it again; have always had dinner in the MDR with fantastic staff and service. Maybe that situation in Laminae would not occur again, but ain't taking any chance.
  19. We sailed on the Equinox, Silhouette and recently on the Reflection; all great cruises, so Celebrity is our first choice, with Princess as second because of the Sanctuary.
  20. I'd let your concierge take care of this. On our last cruise, we went to the maître d' at the MDR when we first got on board. We requested a table for two by a window in the MDR. He said, ok, all done, great. The first night, we had our requested table, fantastic! The second night we went, they didn't know anything about it. Big discussions at the podium, we gave up and went to the buffet. We told our butler about the mess-up and she spoke to the maitre d' and the problem was resolved. We had our same table for two for the rest of the cruise. So, bottom line, talk to your concierge and let him/her take care of it.
  21. Nice to have a beach bag from the cruise line but, we always have brought our own; it's called the KYSS bag from the company of the same name. It cleverly stands for Keep Your Stuff Safe; it has a zippered top and chain with a combination lock. We secure the bag to our lounge chairs on the ship or at the beach.
  22. I was told $20., before it use to be $25.
  23. Just got off the Reflection; no more photography like it was before. No more welcome aboard photo, no more pictures when you get off at a port, no more pictures at dinner, (which some people objected to), no setups throughout the ship. They did have ONE setup with a green screen, during a particular time slot. Even if you bought a photo package, THERE ARE NO MORE PRINTS; they are not printing photos anymore. When we went to the photography unit, all the walls were bare except for those who went to the photography studio, (those up there may have been from prior cruises). So, you want photos, take your phone and have fun !
  24. We just got off a Reflection cruise which was 100% capacity! But, it never felt crowded!
