  1. We cruised once before on Princess, can’t recall which ship, but it was great! On that cruise we reserved the Sanctuary; does anyone know which Princess ships have the Sanctuary? Thanks all!
  2. First thing we do when we get on the ship, is to go to the MDR, speak to the Maître-D, and request, [notice, I said request]. a table for two by a window for dinner. Since 2003, we have always been successful! We love having the same servers at dinner each night!
  3. Kids on a cruise should never be a problem, UNLESS, they are not supervised or told how to behave by their parents. Some parents simply let their kids run wild on a ship; that's when the problem happens. We've been on several cruises since 2003, and when the kids behave and/or when the staff provides activity for them, it's never a problem.
  4. Just dress nicely and show classy; no tux required!
  5. No need to apologize; just providing [helpful] information; you will be asking more questions here, I'm sure.
  6. the one that's on my plate! 😉
  7. Chocolatemom2...just a suggestion If you create your title (instead of "Question"), with some detail as to what you are asking, those who use the search engine on Cruise Critic would not search for "question", they would search for issues like, perks, luggage tags, meal times, Equinox, etc. If I wanted to search for classic drink package, I wouldn't search with "question".
  8. Agree with Hcat; Bahamas Sandals a great way to spend your vacation!
  9. Sailed on Equinox, Silhouette and recently on Reflection--- Never had this issue. BTW--here in Long Beach, we would get brown water whenever the fire department flushes out the hydrants. Clears up in a few minutes; maybe this was a similar issue on your cruise.
  10. Not that I know of; we've cruised on Celebrity three times, Equinox, Silhouette and this past February on the Reflection. Never saw a lot of kids; only when the parents let their kids run wild with no parent supervision. Last cruise, we saw some kids in a hot tub with parents in plain sight. Most of the kids were well behaved.
  11. How could you have used your balcony? You didn't have one!
  12. Simply put---YUP! Have done that on all of our previous cruises. The staff will go out of their way [within reason] to accommodate you!
  13. We have sailed Celebrity on our last three cruises; Equinox, Silhouette and this past February on the Reflection. We did not see any of the situations that you referred to.
  14. If you don't get to speak with someone on your phone call within a reasonable period of time, hang up; and try later. Don't waste your time waiting for a call-back.
  15. Basic cash flow---cruise lines don't make any money sailing with an empty cabin
  16. I can address Question 4: We sailed on the Reflection this past February and first day went to the MDR and spoke to the Matri'D, requested a table for two by a window and they accommodated us for the entire cruise. Same great staff each night! Way to go Celebrity!

  18. Hi NutsAboutGolf, I really meant the cruise staff getting your luggage to your cabin, sorry about the wrong name! 😉
  19. We fold them as instructed and before we insert them into plastic holders, we highlight pertinent information on the tags to make it easier for the porters.
  20. Sounds like "Resort" time in the Caribbean! Sandals anyone?
  21. Well I'm sure the staff on Celebrity, when I fell, did not know what category cabin I was in, or what services we had. They were just concerned with my injury.
  22. IMHO---great service for all on a Celebrity cruise!
  23. Keep your passport in your safe! Take a copy of it, the small card you may have gotten with your passport, drivers license, and your sea card.
