  1. From Port of Miami? To me that's too risky. Just off Summit on Monday. First people probably hit the curb about 8 am. Then during disembarkation the escalator in the terminal broke and they had to move disembarkation from deck 4 to deck 1. Delayed the rest of disembarkation about 1/2 hr at least.
  2. Plus it is very hit or miss if the requests make it to the ship or not. As this poster says it's pretty easy to straighten out onboard.
  3. That's what I've found most times on United, Delta, American is that if you book Premium Economy they can book those seats for you at the time of booking and for any Economy segments they can at least book you regular economy seats. Once the reservation is ticketed I've been able to move to the preferred seats in economy for no extra charge. Although on a recent United flight they were able to assign exit row for me. On American PE they couldn't assign the bulkhead seats even though available but could assign any other row. It seems to just depend.
  4. The new muster drill video can be viewed in the cabin prior to reporting to the muster station for checkin. If that doesn't work I'm sure they will go through the safety briefing with them in person in the muster station.
  5. Just off Summit and they were 6:30 and 8:30. Dining times were early as well.
  6. Yes. I think typically coffee with alcohol is what's on the premium package. You're fine.
  7. I leave it on never. My assumption is if it is on they can detect when you leave the country
  8. That's not the way I've seen it. What I have seen is they don't collect extra $100 when you make the move, they add another $100 to the reservation to be paid at final payment.
  9. Yes the Celebrity app is a quality piece of software..... Not.
  10. Yes it's called changing ship and/or sail date. I agree it's "like" canceling and rebooking but generally you don't want to cancel/rebook as your existing reservation can just be modified. If you have a non-refundable deposit there is a $100 pp admin fee. If it's a refundable deposit there is no fee. It is at prevailing rates/promo. If your reservation is non-refundable then make sure the new rate is also non-refundable as you can't turn an existing reservation from non-refundable to refundable. But you can do the reverse.
  11. Worst looking Celebrity ship I've seen to date.
  12. Did they not open the helipad. They did that for the 3 full transits I have done
  13. 65+ Celebrity cruises, I've done just about everything you can do to a reservation and understand their booking rules, many times better than the Celebrity agents. Now there are some fares that you may not be able change to like Exciting Deals or New Bookings Only but for generic Cruise Only or All Included fares you can do this without an issue. And yes I have change ship and sail date to a different category in the last month. It was a refundable deposit rate that I moved to a NRD rate on the new sailing so there was no $100 pp admin fee. If my original sailing was NRD there would have been the fee because I was changing ships and date.
  14. My YouTube-tv settings on my iPhone13 running ios17.2 is way different than yours. Is your app up to date?
  15. I agree that a 1 or 2 day promotion is not going to really change things probably on any sailing. We did have one sailing over Thanksgiving sailing out of San Juan on Summit where there were 400-500 children onboard. The kids weren't a problem but the ship was noticeably more crowded. I'm sure the majority of the children were 3rd&4th in the stateroom. Of course most sailings we are on there are < 10 children. For 5 in a room there are only a handful of rooms that support 5.
  16. I think once it detects that you are out of the country it requires to be able to see "exact location" to resume service. But I'm pretty sure that as long as you keep VPN on before you leave the US it doesn't require. I just set my phone to VPN Argentina and YouTube TV reported that it didn't work in that country. Then I set it back to a US city and it required me to enable location services. Once it established my location I was able to turn location service back off and still use the service.
  17. There should be no charge to change categories on the same sailing. In addition you should be able to change the ship and/or sailing date for the $100 pp admin fee.
  18. On my iPad I also make sure the settings for YouTube TV for location is set to off.
  19. We went to both Koper and Kotor last year in May on Connie although we only went to Dubrovnik, not Split. Was a wonderful cruise. One thing on the spec sheet. I suspect the crew number is way less than the 1021. Crew reductions have been noticeable across the fleet. Another note is there have been staterooms added over the years. Oceanview cabins on Deck 3 aft of the Atrium as well as the AQ cabins on deck 11. These cabins are in better shape on M class ships.
  20. OP has already factored in the 2x bid price. Their example was a $200 bid ($400). I agree that a $100 bid from any category to a SS is a rare beast.
  21. And a recent national political poll I saw interviewed in the range of 2,500-3,000 people out of around 165 million voters in the US.
  22. It didn't sound like it was limited to kids. On the surface it looked like additional passengers in the cabin sail free.
  23. I'd love to hear about it. Hopefully it's an elevated play on a double cheeseburger like the pork and beans.
  24. Ok didn't know that. I guess Ascent isn't as "new" as Edge was when it first came out. We hit Zenith when that came out and they said it was off limits for 1 year.
  25. Generally new ships are not available for Free Cruise offers for at least a year. Check the conditions of your offer.
