Exactly and AI is a rate. Perks and promos are associated with a rate. The current AI rate does not include gratuities. I know I will never convince the OP but nothing has changed so no need to beware.

Yes Jim, I was trying to explain to @NutsAboutGolf why a VPN is required. I have used NordVPN in South America and Transatlantic as well as Italy/Greece and able to watch Youtube TV. My Windows 11 laptop still seems to detect I'm using a VPN regardless of which server I'm using. Same server on the iPad works fine. Not an issue as I rarely bring my laptop. Royce

No you can't remove a portion of the auto tips (the part that goes to the dining staff). Remember those also go to Lunch and Breakfast venues like Aqua Spa Cafe and Oceanview, but I get your point. You would think that maybe specialty gratuities would be say 10% as an incremental amount over and above what you already paid. The raw fact is that gratuities are base compensation for the wait staff and what you pay goes towards the MDR wait staff that would serve you if you dined there. I sort of have the same "complaint" about the upcharge items in the MDR. I'm already paying the wait staff gratuities for my meal, why do I have to pay 20% if I order an upcharge item? I don't agree so I don't order them. I guess you have the same choice.

If trying to look at menus on the App the only thing close to reliable to to select the current sailing of the ship you may be sailing on in the future.

YouTube TV doesn't allow streaming outside of the US because their contracts with the content don't allow it. On many devices they can only use the IP address location to identify location.

I believe this is where the confusion arises. You get the same onboard booking (incremental) perks. Not the rate/promo. The rate/promo changes often. On my sailing 2 weeks ago it changed every 2/3 days. Celebrity is notorious for using the word perks to refer to many different things.

On Celebrity if you experience a lapse in service you are encouraged to bring it to their attention so it can be corrected.

Just remember the latest round of severe cutbacks were on her watch. It's nice they are listening and reversing some of them, but maybe she should have done some customer research before making the cuts in the first place.

Yes it can be done. But remember the staff supported by the tipping pool goes well beyond the staff you come into contact with daily. We may not like it but tips pool makes up the majority of the compensation of many non officer staff.

It's always been that you get the onboard booking bonus OBC according to the chart when you assign the reservation to a sailing. As far as I'm aware it's always at the prevailing rate/promo when that assignment is made.

One night last week on Summit there were 3 chicken dishes. I know people have been complaining about Flank Steak being a cheaper form than the strip/sirloin but I have to say I had it twice and it was very good both times. Thin sliced so it was pretty tender and good flavor cooked to a nice medium rare. Much better than the thin sirloin steaks they have had the last couple months.

The app menus have never been accurate for sailings other than the current one. Even then it has not always matched what's actually on the paper menu. I think we are going to need to wait to see when they actually change on the ships.

Just to circle back. Finally got a price from Windstar. It was $298 pp to add the day. I decided to just book independently. Maybe I'll have to change rooms but that's ok. I had messaged the hotel a couple of days ago but got no response.

Just off the Summit. They have added flank steak in the rotation of beef options. I had it twice and it was very good. It was presented as 3 thin slices. Wasn't tough and had a good flavor.
