The pastry chef must be the one from our Harmony cruise. RCI certainly doesn't have more than one that knows what their doing.
The baklava we had on Jewel & Serenade last year was burnt to a crisp. RCI should be ashamed to serve the kinda desserts we've seen lately.
No...You can make a change to this when you book onboard. Actually tell them you want to own the booking then you can decide if you want to transfer it to the TA of your choice or keep it.
I've been saying for a few years (posting here as well as in person and on my surveys) that the dessert's in the WJ need a lot of IMPROVEMENT !!!!
We've sailed on many RCI ships and recently onboard Harmony end of April they had the most amazing desserts (Carrot Cake with real cream cheese frosting) ...someone knew how to finally get it right...but I'm sure that particular person didn't last long.
Also the cookies onboard are being overly baked...they end up hard as a rock !!
Navigator has the best ice show fleet wide...The iSkate Reach For The Stars. We just saw it again last month. We saw the last performance for this group and the new cast was to board the ship and start their 8 month contract on Jan 27th the day we got off.
So sorry this particular show isn't done on other RCI ships.
They put a colored wristband on you when you buy the roundtrip. When you're ready to leave Maho there are lots of the same taxi company waiting out front...you'll be directed to get in one of them...This couldn't be easier.
Tell the driver if you want to be dropped off in town rather than back to the taxi stand. You will of course then have to take the water taxi back to the dock at your own cost.
That law went into effect as of January 15, 2023. We just returned from a Mexican Riviera cruise Jan 20th-27th. We actually saw no one smoking anywhere at the ports we stopped at so I can't comment on how it was enforced but it sure was posted in our Cruise Compass with a warning.
Yes...Very easy to spot the signage for Suite entry outside the terminal. Once you go through the door into the terminal walk straight ahead. Just cruised out of San Pedro onboard Navigator Jan 20th-27th.
Just off Navigator (Jan 27th) and surprised at how many casita's there were now as compared to our last January cruise. Saw no one renting/occupying them. Unfortunately they take up a lot of rail space that used to have some nice views.
I've found RCI onboard staff to be very responsive to in cabin problems.
Last year on Jewel we had a bad sewage smell problem in our OS during our Arctic Circle itinerary. Our steward reported the ongoing problem and it escalated up the onboard chain. The SL Concierge offered us 20% off the base cruise fare as an FCC.
Just off Navigator and our OS cabin door wasn't pulled close all the way we noticed on one of returns to our cabin. We told our steward and it too was escalated to security...video tapes were apparently checked we were told. Because of this security issue we were given a 15% FCC.
OP...seems you were on RCI Navigator January 13th. Call RCI directly to confirm what you were told when you booked onboard using your booking number. I'm just off Navigator January 27th and checked the flyer and fine print and see clearly the policy for booking a NextCruise within 2 months but see nothing about a change. Best of luck to you.
True...however I may have read that Serenade was adding a guest laundry due to it's world cruise itinerary. I've only sailed once on PCL and I must say I was impressed with this onboard feature.
This will vary depending on which ship and how many kids use the AO. My understanding when we've asked about this was they would give it a try if possible and see how it goes.
