  1. On our 7 day Norwegian Fjords cruise we had a Destination talk on Bergen, Live Commentary from the Navigational Bridge over the speakers when we left Skjolden and 5 Enrichment lectures (1 repeated) covering D-Day Logistics, the Life of a Royal Butler, Wings over the Ocean - Royal Navy and the Royal Yacht Britannia. One was on a port day but the others were on the 2 sea days. We only listened to the live commentary - our main entertainment was winning 6 trivia games 😄
  2. Well yes, activities have been limited post-Covid but they are gradually coming back. e.g. saw a post recently from one of the Assistant Cruise Directors about plans to bring back the Pop Choir. But depends what you are looking for. We've been on 3 cruises out of Southampton this summer on Royal-class ships and never had an issue. I've just posted a couple of patters from our June Sky Princess cruise here so see if it looks any different to what you experienced.
  3. Here's a port day and sea day patter from our Norwegian Fjords cruise on Sky Princess in June. Hope you can read them as they were snapped quickly on my phone...
  4. No tiers true, but be wary on Royal Class if you go for a mini-suite with extended balconies mid-ships as you may be subject to being looked down on from the SeaWalk (doesn't bother some people and is less invasive on Sky and ships after her). But you did mention being looked down on...
  5. Note that if you live in the UK then the only way you can currently receive your medallion is at check-in at the port.
  6. Tried to buy a day pass on embarkation day on Enchanted Princess earlier this summer and they could only offer one a couple of days into the cruise as it depends on how the full week sales have gone. It's a shame as I wanted to try it out first and that could have led to more sales!
  7. We found the Concierge Lounge a little oasis of calm and especially nice during not so nice weather when everyone is crowded around the Piazza. Once in your suite, you are provided with a swipe card for gaining entry and details in a welcome letter on general perks including the evening Aperitifs in the lounge. You can pop om to grab nibbles, soft drinks and use the coffee machine at any time. These are pics from the Enchanted Princess lounge but Sky's is similar: We've only found a suite embarkation lounge at the Mayflower terminal in Southampton - we were not directed to a specific location at Ocean terminal although I know there is an elite area on one side of security. However, both terminals are letting Suite and Elites board earlier now.
  8. It appeared in the MDR on Enchanted Princess just over a week ago (with the same menu as before) but wasn't advertised.
  9. Here's a screencap of one Fortuna Luck from a Princess video clip: Seen a number of job adverts for the role - one on the Princess Entertainment site now:
  10. I would be quite happy to buy a Princess branded cardboard collection folder or similar to hold and display them in (like they have for quarters)
  11. As said before, very similar to other 360 experiences when you search on Youtube (see screencap below) Which could be done in the round area within Sabatinis (screencap from an early Enchanted Princess ship tour)
  12. We found Crooners on Enchanted to be a quiet reading place during the day with the bar not opening until early evening so would assume it would be the same for Discovery. Loved the red 'James Bond' chairs which are placed so you can look up from whatever you are reading and look out of the windows. There may be some residual music from the Piazza but generally it's quiet and not a corridor either.
  13. Yes, I dislike Mussels too so have always said asked for a Tarantino without. Just got off the Enchanted this morning and tried something a little different - substituting the Mussels with Pineapple (don't judge lol!)
  14. Recently on Sky and Enchanted Princess, we have been able to view the daily menus on the Stateroom TV by navigating to the Dining section, I think under Restaurant Menus and clicking on the Dining Room name. You can then click across a top menu for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and then scroll down for the courses. Very useful as my other half eats quite plain food and is very picky! Always available can get a bit samey so nice to be able to see if there is something different.
  15. We got off Enchanted Princess this morning. 1. We did a full bar crawl on the first full day and most of the bars do have servers who take drink orders but it can be patchy especially at busy times e.g. on the Lido deck or around the Piazza. The more traditional bars like Crooners, Take 5 and Crown Bar are better served here. 2. Barely any waiting at all for Club Class - you have a separate line and we have always been ushered straight in.
  16. My other half found this 360 dining experience that was designed for another company and was wondering if the Princess one will be like this. The table top in the Enchanted Princess video looks to be made of similar material that can be projected onto.
  17. You get more information from the deck plan on the Medallion Class App: Here you can see from the door position that the bathroom and walk-in wardrobe will be on your right as you walk in the door. This means the headboard for the bed will be along that right wall so I believe you will be facing aft when lying in your bed. Your desk area will be between the balcony and the bed.
  18. Not had a pub lunch at all on the UK cruises since the re-start. Hoping they do return - looks like Pop Choir is due back imminently (ACD Sarah on Sky Princess posted about this on instagram yesterday!)
  19. Prom deck 7 Aft Starboard and Sun Deck 17 Aft Outdoors area according to our Enchanted Princess patter from May this year.
  20. Following on from Dunk's suggestion. Yes, tere was something in an old thread where we spotted something new on pre-launch video of Enchanted Princess - some guessed it might be a kind of immersive dining experience in that area of Sabatini's
  21. We definitely had a German themed Buffet one evening on Sky Princess last month with a number of different 'wursts' available.
  22. You will find a letter on embarkation day in your suite summarising the perks similar to the one below. This was from our cruise on Sky Princess last month.
  23. I think it might be Princess Live! on Deck 7 - found a muster station E on a stateroom tour video on Sky Princess which has a similar layout. Does that fit in with the location of your stateroom? Assuming you have one booked.
