  1. Here’s a hint…got to Izumi’s, Deck 4 Aft, to make all your reservations when you board. Most people go to Deck 8 at one of the speciality restaurants there. I had 5 night package on TA, and got all my times immediately. No wait.
  2. Unfortunately you can’t do that B2B, because of PVSA. Start in Sydney, like me 🤣
  3. Many don’t see signatures. They have them turned off. Just an FYI
  4. I will be on this one too. It will be the 4th leg of 5, to get me home to Seattle from Sydney. First leg will be March 27 from Sydney to South Pacific. Also have Sept. cruise to Greenland. Also boarding Navigator on Dec 30 for New Years cruise, so that kinda counts 😉
  5. Did this published report state the percentage of those 65+ had comorbidites?
  6. I have had fun on all my Carnival cruises, but I’m at their highest level now, so unless they offer a long unique cruise at a great price, I probably won’t sail them until then. I was lucky enough to take the Spirit and Legend to Australia in 2012 and 2014, and the Splendor to Singapore in 2019. Fantastic cruises!! I will hit the magic 340 on Royal in the Spring, and that solo discount is what I’m aiming for now. Have a great time!!
  7. So what was the point of making this thread? To complain or take a dig at those that weren’t that concerned?
  8. I haven’t seen martini tasting before on Royal, although I wouldn’t totally trust my memory from years ago, just recently 🤪. On the Wonder TA, the had Scotch, Wine and Beer tastings. I did the beer and wine. I’ve always enjoyed martini tastings, and will be on Navigator on New Years, so will let you know what they have.
  9. Personally, as a solo traveler, I prefer once a day. On the recent Wonder TA, I was end of the morning cabins to be cleaned, even with sign on door that I was out and about. I would leave between 7-8 am and come back to cabin 11-12 and still not done. I was first in rotation in evening.
  10. Although 2 separate reservations, I have my daughter and grandson linked with me and other daughter and granddaughter. Was able to go into app and choose arrival time first for all of us. I didn’t have their other passport/credit card info. It saved it with no issues until they could fill in their info.
  11. I was on the Wonder TA, and although I had MTD, I travel solo and never went to MDR. I had a 5 night dining package, and between that and other places to eat, you definitely will be fine.
  12. MTD isn’t like it used to be. 6:45-7 is the normal start time, and once early traditional diners leave, they start filling with MTD guests. You may, or may not have a long wait, even with reservations.
  13. Not a boarding time. Nobody knows exactly when boarding will start. Delays can always happen. It’s an arrival/check in time.
  14. When Royal came out with their Sept/2023 14 night Greenland cruise, it was 1/2 the price of Carnival. Had friends cancel Carnival and save $2k.
  15. My daughter, who was a labor/delivery nurse and now a Women’s Health NP said the same thing. She has also seen very large women, who would normally not be asked if they were pregnant, as should any woman ever. Childbirth professionals know the facts, the media just makes up what they want.
  16. I’m not sure if it’s just Oasis class (they had it on Wonder), or other class ships also. That’s the name of the parade they do down the Promenade. It was pretty cute.
  17. When you try to do a mock booking, does it come up as available?
  18. I set it up via the app. There should be a Voom link on the app, and it will ask if it’s your first time. Click that and it will prompt you with log on questions.
  19. Nobody knows what the protocols will be for March of next year. The best place to check will be the Royal website. They will have the most updated info, closer to your cruise date.
  20. I normally set mine up when I board. You will choose a login and 4 digit pin code.
  21. Have you received OBC from this TA before? TA’s do not have to give OBC. It comes out of their commission, so it is up to them to give or not.
  22. So you were one of the 2 groups that finished on out TA. Our group failed. It was fun and challenging.
  23. They have to make up some lost revenue for not sailing for 2 years. Keep checking, prices may come down.
