  1. If you don’t feel like day drinking and you have any vouchers left, stop by any bar on your way back to your cabin in the evening, and get some unopened cans or bottles of anything and take back to your cabin. I’m not really a day drinker anymore, and I drink martini’s, so I’m not going to be drinking 5 of those in the evening, or I would end up on Youtube. Also, since I’m a solo traveler, if I happen to be chatting with someone for a while, I may get them a drink. You can share these. Debbie PS I love your live reports. I will be boarding the Wonder TA on the 30th, and I loved your review.
  2. Air2Sea used to be easy to track online and check fares. They have now made it difficult and you have to call. I have used them for one way International flights in the past, and got a great deal on Business class. The prices aren’t so good anymore, and I find them comparable to the airlines themselves. I use airline miles now, when I can.
  3. Have a great time. I love the Ovation, and will bring her back next March on a B5B. It will be my longest cruise yet. I have done Patrick’s twice, and he still remains one of my top excursions. It’s to bad about the rules now. Thank you for doing the review.
  4. Amazon. You wouldn’t be able to use them on an open can and carry around, because they would leak, but work great in a fridge if you can’t finish a can. I like them for my La Croix if I can’t finish. I first saw cans in Barcelona that had lids and I thought what a great idea.
  5. Since I know that Royal does not honor price drops after final payment, I don’t bother to look at prices after I make final payment. What I don’t see won’t hurt me. As others have mentioned, Royal has never offered price drops, except the short period of time when the restart happened. Other cruise lines do have certain rate codes that you can get price drops after final payment, but those codes come with penalties. Alternative is to try for an upgrade.
  6. Like gamblers and their “free” casino offers. I never consider it free, I consider it a perk. I have been cruising many years, to several continents, and I would cruise with or without perks. But if I can get some Wifi and drinks as a perk, I’m sure not going to say “No Thank You”.
  7. I drink a lot of La Croix, and discovered these a few years ago. I’m not a big soda drinker, but occasionally I like one and if I can’t finish, I use these. They go on every cruise now. Sometimes the fizz lasts a couple of days.
  8. Only if they are from Gordo Lele’s in Cabo. 🌮 He is the best.
  9. But Lynden isn’t exactly Seattle. I don’t go out that often, but even Lynnwood prices are getting high.
  10. Only you can decide what you want to leave as a gratuity. If you need change, go to guest services.
  11. And this is why I don’t enjoy balconies. I like quiet, when I want to relax. While others may look down on me for liking interiors, it is perfect for my anxieties. 🤪
  12. Have you tried any of the Collins family drinks? I had in Schooner Bar.
  13. I went to a Brazilian restaurant in San Diego, and it is probably basically the same. You will have a card with a color (mine was red and green). When the green is flipped up, that means you are ready for meat. The waiters are continually walking around with large skewers of meat and will slice some up for you. If the card is flipped to red, you’re taking a break (LOL). And as previous poster said, you go up to buffet for sides. I’m not sure if the meat is handled the same way on Allure, but you can pretty much control your time.
  14. I would always choose LGB over LAX, but it really depends on price and times.
  15. I know in May, they had draft downstairs at the bar in Music Hall
  16. I’m on the New Years cruise after yours, and though I normally cruise solo, doing a family cruise with daughters and grandkids. We were originally scheduled for MTD, but moved over to Traditional at 5:30. A lot of people are moving over to TD, so if you want to switch, do it now. A couple of us were waitlisted, but got moved.
  17. It’s not the same. On the Allure, it becomes Samba Grill for dinner, which is a Brazilian type restaurant with an upcharge.
  18. I’m a Martini and Manhattan drinker, so I don’t normally go for any of the sweet concoctions , but I did find the Strawberry Blonde,Tito's Handmade vodka, St-Germain liqueur, strawberry, lemon juice and mint not to sweet, and refreshing.
  19. I guess you could just ignore your check in time (it’s not boarding time), and take your chances. Worst case scenario, you will have to wait around for your actual check in time, but it’s hard to say exactly when the ship will start boarding. Any factors could delay that.
  20. Just an FYI, originally my check in showed date that was 46 days away, and check in usually happens at 45. So don’t always trust what app or website says. If it doesn’t work one day, just try the next. Also, I was checking in for the Wonder, which is in Barcelona, so it went by midnight there, which happened to be 3pm here on the West coast. So, also be aware of that. Could depend on where ship is.
