  1. As stated in post #8, free breakfast only on Oasis class ships. I just enjoyed it on the Wonder.
  2. Debarkation or embarkation? Also, some people don’t know that Johnny Rockets is free for breakfast. It’s very easy to check app and see what food options are available at any given time.
  3. I just got off the Wonder yesterday. Many new staff members just came on board, and being the first sailing from Port Canaveral, there is bound to be first day issues and hopefully it will get better. It has been written on several threads about finding your MDR table prior to dinner, and then just going right to it. No need to wait in line to find out where your table is. Now that you know, just walk in. I loved the Wonder.
  4. Personally, I usually try to use mileage and fly Business from Seattle when going to Europe. If you can’t do that, then I always try to fly an international airlines when flying international. If you plan on flying economy or premium economy, Youtube has a ton of passenger review videos, for pretty much every airline and flight class. I do a lot of research on my own. I am on the Wonder right now (last day 😢), and I just flew Finnish Air, Business to Barcelona. Was very happy with it.
  5. There isn’t any recent itinerary. I’m on the Wonder TA right now, and it doesn’t get to Port Canaveral until Sunday, the 13th. This question gets asked weekly. Since the Wonder will just begin sailing from Port Canaveral next week, nobody really knows the answer to your question. Wait and see if the port is enforcing check in times. Remember, this ship is the largest in world and holds a lot of passengers. Can you imagine the chaos if everybody wanted to show up early?
  6. Well, I don’t know if you can call it a true escape room. It looks like a big white storage room and they put puzzles on a table to solve. I will take some pics. Rumor has it, that the card room will become the permanent Escape room…more to follow.
  7. I managed to do the Abyss yesterday. Fun times! It wasn’t as fast as I thought it would be, so now that I know what to expect, I will go back for more. Will probably do the water slides tomorrow, when he are in Nassau. Saw Effectors 2 last night for the 2nd time. What an amazing show. I’m still flabbergasted at what they can do on a cruise ship. Bravo to everyone that has worked on this show. Incredible… Today is escape room, which doesn’t look like what I expected, but will give it a go. Already started packing. Can’t believe it’s almost over.
  8. Thanks for doing the report. I love the Ovation. I will be boarding on March 27 for a B5B. It will be my first time to NZ, so anxious to hear your report from there.
  9. I thing smooth sailings and food are both now subjective. For me, this is one of the smoothest sailings I have been on as far as a TA or TP. Maybe it helps that I’m on deck 9, but there was only one night I felt a gentle swaying. Capt. mentioned 9 ft swells, and I have been in 20+ before, so I guess it all depends. I gage rough seas, based on barf bags being put on stairwells and all around the ship. Haven’t seen those yet.🤣 Having a wonderful time, and I love the Wonder. Still trying to get on Abyss and water slides, and time is dwindling. Hope all are open when we are in Nassau on Friday.
  10. Here’s the thing about all of the threads on showing up earlier than your check in, arrival time (it’s not a boarding time). If I show up at my designated time, and others decide to show up early, and I have to wait in a long line, this wouldn’t make me a happy camper. I like in some ports, they have designated time placards set up where you can go to your designated spot.
  11. Go to the casino at end of cruise and cash out whatever you have left of OBC…refundable and non. Wouldn’t trust Royal to refund in a timely matter.
  12. This new protocol definitely works for the Navigator New Years sailing, with my 2 unvaxxed grandkids, although the previous protocol was pretty silly, just showing a pic of unproctored NEG test.
  13. Finally got back on, due to log in fiasco. Looking forward to 8 seas days to really explore ship.
  14. I’m not sure if others on this sailing had the issues with log in, but I just got back in, after a couple of days. Looking forward to the upcoming 8 sea days, and getting on the slides. My daughter told me not to be getting on Flowrider, since I would break a hip…she’s funny!!!
  15. Got to Hotel Jazz at about 9pm, and was ecstatic to jump in the shower. I felt like I walked for 2 hrs to get to baggage claim. I didn’t go through customs in Barcelona. Maybe because I went through passport control in Helsinki? Have fun tomorrow. It’s beautiful. My Covid testing is by Sagrada, so since I’m doing the HOHO bus, it drops off there and will be a closer walk. See you tomorrow!
  16. Heading to Seatac in about 3 1/2 hrs. Got up at 0430, so hoping to be extra tired and maybe get some sleep on the 9 1/2 hr leg to Helsinki. See you Fri. evening at hotel for cocktails. Debbie
  17. I think the OP got exactly what they wanted out of us. Their very first cruise was on NCL in August. They have no experience at all on Royal, but felt the need to come on the Royal thread and start a thread that was bound to stir the pot. Gotta love the new posters that have no experience and nothing positive to ask or say, and hasn’t been back.
  18. I’m sailing on Dec 30 2022, and my check in is Nov 15…so figure yours will be Nov 23. But as other poster stated, it tells you in the app. Click on the head on top and it will bring up that info. If you haven’t loaded the app, now is a good time to do that.
  19. Some people will continue to call check in time, boarding time. Nobody knows when boarding times will start. In a perfect scenario, it may be between 10-11. In other situations, it may be delayed and not start until noon, or with me a couple of times, 2pm. I have never seen on any paperwork prior, anything that says “boarding time”
  20. Hasn’t been last 3 times I was on it, and last time was May.
  21. You can pick a check in time, usually at 45 days out. You will start boarding depending on how early of a check in time you have. There is not a set boarding time. If you want to get on ship early, then pick an early check in time. That means picking your check in as soon as it’s available. That is usually at midnight from where the ship leaves from.
  22. I like big ships, and I can not lie while other dudes can deny………. I’m boarding the Wonder in a week, and will eventually try the Icon, if the itinerary suits me. And although nobody really cares about the opinions of others on this new ship, you know what they say about opinions….everybody has one. That’s the beauty about choices. One size does NOT fit all.
  23. I know they haven’t in the past, because many took the train or another bus. Doesn’t mean they won’t in the future. I took the Quick Shuttle in May, since the train wasn’t back running yet. It is now. I definitely think Amtrak is the best way to go.
