Thanks Jebba,. Even though the Plymouth Brockton bus isn’t a tour, that is a good alternative recommendation. They can change the name of Plymouth Plantation but they can’t move the rock! Enjoy your sightseeing and cruise.

The Harborside Hotel and area are fine. As in any major city, just be aware of your surroundings. Crime happens everywhere. Downtown is full of tourists and residents alike. For restaurants, you will find seafood, Italian in the Northend and many various ethnic choices. Legal seafoods is always worth a try. Nothing is inexpensive in downtown Boston. I recommend taking the Old Town Trolley entire route to get your bearings and see it all. DO NOT GET OFF AT Cheers. It’s a tourist trap. As far as getting to Plymouth Rock, it’s a good hour South of Boston. Renting a car 🚘 unless you are driving to Boston, is the best bet. Parking in downtown is very pricey; $60 a night. I don’t know what the Pawtux mueseum is. This may be something new to me since moving south. Pawtucket,RI is in another state which I don’t recommend you wasting time to go there. Also Boston’s airport is Logan International. Hope you didn’t book LaGuardia that’s in NYC. Our rental car lots are around the airport so you could rent a car early in the morning, keep it one night and return it the next day. Also, ask your hotel conceriege for assistance. Maybe there is a tour bus, but I would not want to waste all day on a bus.

Sounds like sound advice. Seaport is close to airport. Taxi will get you there quickly.

I agree with nitemare. I guess Princeton hasn’t been at the terminal when two or more ships are off/on loading. It isn’t the travel time that takes long, it’s finding & getting into a correct vehicle. I would say you would make it for 11:35 with carry own luggage.

It really depends on what day of the week you are in Boston. NCL has weekend scheduled sailings from Boston plus other cruise lines may just be stopping for a day visit. Thus traffic congestion at the cruise terminal is a factor to be considered. Normally it would take 10-15 minutes. But, on a busy day I would allow at least an hour if you plan to schedule an Uber or private transportation.

Isn’t Baltimore harbor still closed due to the freighter ship accident and subsequent bridge collapse? There are numerous name brand hotels in the harbor area. There was one near the aquarium that I stayed at which was very nice. Can’t recall the brand name probably a Hilton hotel.

I totally agree. Most efficient and cost effective method for you to get to Ray Flynn Black Falcon terminal is return 🚘 to airport and take Uber to terminal.

Taxi or UBER/LYFT will be your most efficient and convenient option. Airport is not far but congestion leaving the terminal takes patience.

That is correct; very few hotels in the seaport or downtown areas offer shuttles. Take taxi or Uber to the hotel or terminal.

Have you looked at the airport Hilton, Embassy Suites, or La Quinta in Somerville.?

That’s the way to plan it. There is only one large terminal building so it should be easy accept for the traffic. If there are police guiding cars, just lay him know what you are doing and he’ll direct you. Terminal is on the left and street is a one way. can you post a phone number for Lot C st. Parking?

I believe you can make that 11 o’clock time. I’d take a taxi 🚖 but Uber is fine if that is something you are used to. As the day you disembark is a Friday, normally taxis won’t be too plentiful

We just stayed at the Embassy Suites before our cruise in January. This hotel has everything we need including parking (which was extra) . Love their breakfast and Happy Hour was just Ok as they have cut back on snacks. Close to restaurants & stores.

Did you check on Massport.gov or com? The garage across the street from the terminal is now private thus they lease spots to local businesses for long term daily parking. Massport used to have a street lot on D Street. Check it out. Leave off your passenger with your luggage and either walk back or take a shuttle if they still have one. Good luck.

E First book a hotel room with 2 double beds. Try the Millennium as it was the most reasonable when we were doing the cruise. Take the HOHO Old Town Trolley and Don’t get off unless you have to. This method of touring will save your energy. Places of interest are the Freedom Trail, John Hancock building has a panoramic wall around on its top floor. Don’t eat there nor at Cheers as they are tourist traps. Eat in the North end = Italian and waterfront for seafood. Yes Fenway park is great to see if you want to try the Boston subway system. Get a Charlie card for multiple trips. Faneuil hall is great just to walk around and people watch. College students will be back in school so it will be busy on a week.

Just call Uber or get a taxi. Same with going to the port. Ask him if he knows the port well. I did just see an UBER driver going the wrong way on a road at a terminal. Scary!

Knowing traffic around that time, I would call them for a pick up at 9:45am. If you are early you just wait. That’s an early time.

Boston Hotels with parking. For Boston downtown, you won’t find much or will pay up to $60 per day just to park. I suggest looking at the LaQuinta in Somerville. They have an outside lot. Then you can drive to the port on embarkation day and park is the Massport lot.

I would collect your luggage and proceed to your hotel. Ask them if it is possible to check in or if they will hold your luggage. Then you can go off to tour .

I would go with 1:30PM. The earlier flight is too risky. When I was a TA I always advised to not book a flight until after noon. Enjoy your family and your Vacation.

26 miles is pretty far from Boston considering that is about where I used to live. Call La Quinta (Somerville) as they might have a parking package. I know they had a van for airport transfer so just maybe they will take you to the Ray Flynn Black Falcon pier. Other areas may be off Rt. 1near Revere.

I’m glad you got an answer. I lived in NH so never bought wine in Boston. D St isn’t too far from the terminal. Call them to make sure they are open, take an Uber.
