Covid positive after cruise
ZoeyVictoria replied to Jadesmom69's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I think there is too much money at stake to take a chance. When my SO tested positive at home, one of the first things we did was set up an appointment for him at CVS. -
One that is absolutely delicious but I don’t recommend for lightweights like me is the Cruiser. Three kinds of alcohol, three kinds of fruit juice. I naively thought there would be 1/3 shot of each, but realized that was not the case when I woke up the next morning still wearing my formal gown, with makeup smeared all over the pillow case and parts of the poor towel animals scattered everywhere. Gary said it looked like a crime scene.

Diamond + BOGO specialty dinners
ZoeyVictoria replied to 3yorkies's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have paid for the Chops + 1, you are saying the only way to use the BOGO is to add additional nights? -
Diamond + BOGO specialty dinners
ZoeyVictoria replied to 3yorkies's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Is it possible to book the Chops + 1 package in advance and have adjustments made on board to apply the BOGOs? -
Where to park for Paradise cruise?
ZoeyVictoria replied to funinthesun1964's topic in Florida Departures
Book the parking garage (Channelside) through Park Connect. Same garage, lower price. Pre-Covid, it was half price, but (like everything else) it is higher now. But still a really good deal. I have used them 6+ times. -
Harmony passenger killed by shark
ZoeyVictoria replied to perfect match's topic in Royal Caribbean International
There is a YT video by Beluga Whale Alli Alli. Information is being given by a Bahamian official (woman, 58 years old, part of a family group of 5-7, bitten in upper extremities). It does show EMTs performing CPR but not the victim, if you prefer to skip this one. -
There is no priority debarkation for D+ on the Independence or the Explorer. On the Independence, once our tag number was finally called, our line was stopped within twenty feet of the gangway to allow the tremendously long line of Keys to debark before everyone else in line. We struggled to carry off our five bags on the Explorer ourselves to avoid that situation, as it really sucks to have a great cruise end with irritation and bad feelings.
-
The only time we had a bag delayed at debarkation, the tag had fallen off. We had gone to Guest Services to request earlier debarkation tags. We were given the tags, but the numbers were not updated online. The tag fell off the bag, the i.d. on the outside of the bag was checked, his account was checked and the bag was placed in the area of the original tag number.

Covid positive after cruise
ZoeyVictoria replied to Jadesmom69's topic in Royal Caribbean International
This is absolutely not a criticism, I respect your policy and resolve to do all you can to avoid Covid. But… I hated the on again, off again mask wearing on ships. And I found them very uncomfortable when I did wear them, which was everywhere they were required from the very beginning of the pandemic. But, if I had to choose between all of those days of mask-wearing (58 on board ships alone) and, say, four days of mild Covid, I think I would prefer the four days of being sick. I realize that many people are far more sick for far longer, and again, not trying to be offensive in any way. -
Covid positive after cruise
ZoeyVictoria replied to Jadesmom69's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have cruised fourteen times since the restart. We drive to the ports, wear masks only when required, use crowded elevators, and go to shows. We are very, very careful about washing our hands and using hand sanitizer. Gary had Covid two days after returning from cruise number twelve. We were together constantly on the cruise (seven nights on Caribbean Princess) and did not attempt to isolate from each other once he was diagnosed. I did not get it and still haven’t, two cruises later. There is just no rhyme or reason to Covid. To the OP - we embarked on the Explorer the day you disembarked. We saw a lot of people misbehaving (Security was kept quite busy), but never noticed anyone coughing/sneezing. -
Military Discount Identification?
ZoeyVictoria replied to zanydoc's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have taken several cruises with the police/fire rate, always took my i.d., and have never been asked for it. -
I loved it, but the slowest speed was not what I considered to be slow at all.

Labor Day Sale Key went down to $16.99
ZoeyVictoria replied to twins_to_alaska's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Has the Key EVER been $41.99 per day? I seriously doubt it. I think Royal’s magical sale math is in play. -

The excursion and Chops that we already have booked are the same price, as well as an excursion we looked at two days ago. -

Thank you, and hoping there is a successful launch before Monday 9/12. -

I wonder how the next launch dates are determined. We have a cruise out of PC coming up in a couple of weeks and I wouldn’t be happy about embarking on a launch date. -
Save A Sea Turtle Experience Excursion Robbery.

I couldn’t find any published reports, either, but I did stumble across numerous reports of similar robberies of cruise passengers. Somewhat sorry I even looked! -
Anything good on Vegan Menu in Main dining room?
ZoeyVictoria replied to latebuyer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I loved it, thought it was the best food I had all week. But it was huge! Were you also served both halves of the avocado, or did someone make a mistake with mine? -
Anything good on Vegan Menu in Main dining room?
ZoeyVictoria replied to latebuyer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I am not vegan, but tried several things on the vegan menu. The corn fritters were very good on the Independence but had a weird seasoning on the Explorer. The tomato soup seemed to be the regular tomato soup, but was available on a night when it was not on the regular menu. The grilled avocado was the best thing I ate during the entire week. The peanut butter Rice Krispie dessert was not great, think Rice Krispies mixed into generic peanut butter. I had a couple of other things, apparently they were good but forgettable. I am tired of the repetition in the MDR and the vegan menu was a nice change. -
My sister-in-law was booked on a cruise with us that was canceled, so she has never sailed on Carnival. She is still getting those almost-free offers, two years later.

I have arrived early at Chops twice on embarkation day and been seated immediately. A 12:30 reservation made us the first guests at that table and they were happy to get a head start. But the third time we arrived early, there was only one server on duty and although we were seated, service was not what it should have been.

The server on Coco Cay thought Diamond drinks were excluded last summer, at the very beginning of the restart. He checked with his supervisor and came back to thank me for making him aware that they are now covered. But this is a full year later, and I think all servers should know about the new policy by now.

We were at Labadee last week and purchased drinks. The server (at our loungers on the beach, not at a bar) told us that Diamond drinks were not available on Labadee. When he returned with the drinks, he told me again that they weren’t included and he had to swipe my card. We let it go, intending to keep an eye on our account and go to GS if necessary. Nothing appeared on our account, neither a charge nor the “$.00” that usually appears for Diamond drinks.
