  1. For my eggs in the Lido I requested they be cooked with butter, not oil. Watched as the cook wiped out the pan & used butter 🙂 so I think they would honor your request.
  2. Living in Bremerton we always spend the night before our flights by SeaTac - whether we drive around or use the Airporter....just a little bit more sleep in the morning.
  3. February/March 2023 - Hawaii/Tahiti, etc. ---never a cruise that long again.
  4. Report on my neurosurgeon visit -- I need a spinal fusion at L4-5. 3 days in the hospital, then home with PT rehab....waiting to get it scheduled. He said the laminotomy I wanted would eventually fail & that then I'd need the fusion....so.... We are planning on our usual 2 week stay in Maui in March so I want it done & to be 100% by then.
  5. True -- finally figured out the glitch -- my dr. wasn't the one who ordered the CT when I was in the ER so she needs to communicate with him or the hospital to get it....I have gotten other discs in the past without all this hassle.
  6. @dfish I think I'm playing the same waiting game with CT discs....had a CTA in early May when I was in the ER for extreme shortness of breath....no real diagnosis but there were nodules noted on my diaphragm & my pulmonologist wanted a follow up scan --- had that done at Kaiser a couple of weeks ago but they only sent a report, not a copy of the disc. Got a call today from the pulm, office asking me to request the disc from one of the places but I'm so confused --- I'm putting the ball back in the dr's court....it shouldn't be up to me to get them the report I don't think.
  7. I just donated a RipSkirt to a local charity.
  8. Do you have CO --- you might try Guest Services -- there's a CO Priority line.
  9. Our room stewards gave us their card on the 1st day --- that's what we put in the slot.
  10. So would mine -- he only did 4 years in the Navy but he loves sea days....me - not so much.
  11. It is crazy --- my pain doc's PA wanted me to have an EMG (why I don't know 'cause I have no neurological symptoms) anyway the next available appointment was in February!!! I told her no, thanks.
  12. @StLouisCruisers & @cat shepard I'm Pat & hubby is Mike....
  13. I'm sorry your appointment provided no answers...hopefully we'll both get some good advice from the surgeons we're seeing.
  14. @JazzyV & @dfish Since you 2 & I are suffering from pain & nothing's helping,(PT, pain patches, etc.) I've discovered 2 Extra Strength Tylenol every 8 hours is keeping my pain under control...better than Mobic & Tramadol.---- give it a try. And I managed to get an appointment next Wednesday with the Neurosurgeon that did my hubby's cervical neck fusion.....YAY!!!
  15. Well I'm kind of back to square one with my back/leg pain....it's a solid 6 for pain....now I'm going to be referred to a neurologist for an EMG & to the spine surgeon I self-referred myself to....want to get the show on the road.
  16. @ger_77 One hotel I wouldn't recommend is Dania Beach Springhill Suites....haven't stayed there in a few years but have stayed there twice....rooms are adequate but worn & dated, breakfast was/is a laugh -- grab & go lukewarm food. There was/is an airport shuttle & same for a cruise port shuttle -- airport one was free, reasonable cost for the port - make a reservation in the lobby. Burger King the only close restaurant, some further away but mostly walkable. If anybody does stay there, I'd appreciate an update in case we do another Caribbean cruise. Just checked Trip Advisor --- gets pretty bad reviews recently.
  17. Mine is severe stenosis at L4-5.....& yes, the surgeon is at Swedish Ortho Institute (Jeff Garr).
  18. Your DH's procedure sounds like what my hubby had for his cervical fusion. I'm hoping not to need a laminectomy or a fusion....we'll see.
  19. @JazzyV I wish all of us with back/leg pain would get a solution that will offer some relief. I follow up with my pain dr's PA on on Monday & I have requested an appointment with a spine surgeon but he needs to see the MRI I had done in September before that appointment can be made. As a retired ortho RN, I want a minimally invasive laminotomy, please & thank you. Only issue is we're in a Seattle suburb & he only operates in Seattle which means at least 1 overnight pre-op. He did a 3 level cervical fusion on hubby with great results so I trust his work.
  20. There's a difference between what I would order & what I would be served in all the restaurants on board....I avoid soybean & canola oils so that makes things difficult....maybe next cruise I will just grin & bear the consequences....NOT!
