  1. Euro and GFS models show this storm will be in the Gulf of Mexico around September 30th to October 1st and possibly be a cat 3 by then. If the timing is correct, your cruise would just skirt the coast south while it headed north. Fun seas though!
  2. So happy to see Carnival embrace the dispersed stations in the Buffet. This is the one thing I really loved on RCCL compared to Carnival. I feel like some Carnival cruises are just a week waiting in line and RCCL somehow eliminated that entirely. Buffet stations is one of the methods they use. I never waited in a line to get my food on RCCL.
  3. I am waiting to book more. Frankly at current prices I just will not be cruising, glad I scheduled three before the prices went up. Either the ships sailing this month are full or Carnival has decided no more rock bottom prices even to fill a ship the week before sailing.
  4. Carnival Journeys cruises have lectures. This was something I loved about RCCL. Really enjoyed the lecture series on our 11 day to the Southern Caribbean.
  5. Everything back to completely normal now in my part of Florida. Have not even heard of anyone with Covid for quite a while now.
  6. I know I am in the serious minority, but for me it is Sea Day Sea Day Sea day Cozumel Sea Day Sea Day Sea Day I love the transatlantic cruises for this reason.
  7. This makes a huge difference and March 19th will not be too bad. Local spring break in Central Florida is mainly the week before that and most spring breakers will take the shorter cruises.
  8. This more than Covid and Cutbacks will kill the Carnival brand if they are not careful. Get the rep for having the wrong crowd onboard all the time with drugs and brawls and people will just start cruising another line. I was happy to see the 24 people debarked in Nassau for that brawl and the new towels on chairs policy. Hopefully they are realizing they need a change and that there must be some teeth in their policies.
  9. They will divert to go around it, but you should all cancel your cruises because of this storm and let me book a cruise for 40 a person next week.
  10. No, royal and msc both have. The more expensive lines like celebrity have not.
  11. Never had a problem getting a table for two with anytime dining. Prior to covid, the two tops were so close together that you might as well be at the same table. I hope covid changed this. Find out in 42 days.
  12. Yes and eventually they will remove all free room service. This has been their plan for years and we would probably already be at that point if not for Covid. I would say 1.5 to 2 years, no more free room service at all.
  13. Pride is still my favorite ship and in my opinion the best design in the fleet still. I will cruise her again in December. As soon as she returns to Tampa November 10th, I will be watching reviews for current shows and activities. I will be happy to report back once we return.
  14. I would love to be on that cruise. Nothing like a hold on hard cruise!
  15. It has always been my opinion that this was part of the plan to end room service. Crap food that took you over an hour to get. Eventually you stop trying and Carnival says, see, no one orders room service anyway! Lets all forget the fact that it became so hard to use and so poor a product that the desire for room service had nothing to do with the decline.
  16. Exactly, some people here cheerlead Carnival for anything they do. I mean anything!
  17. But this was not always the case. There was a time when Carnival delivered a full fresh breakfast at room service. Anyone try MSC? I heard they deliver dinner to your room.
  18. We knew this was coming. Carnival has been trying to scale back room service for a long time now. Eventually there will be no free room service. I really miss the free bagels and lox and cooked eggs I was able to order every morning to my room once upon a time. I guess Carnival hopes I miss it enough that it will become a new revenue stream.
  19. No, on the smaller ships there is no movie venue other than your room. I am always surprised that people want to watch a movie on a cruise. Even on the lido deck, I am uninterested in a movie. I want the outside world to disappear entirely when I cruise.
  20. Hopefully by this weekend someone can report on boarding with just an unproctored home test.
  21. Yes, I have been waiting for this also. This week a person should be able to just show up with a picture of a self test and board, but staff at the terminal have been a mess when it comes to actually following the rules over the years. But it says right here on your website. We don't care what it says.
  22. We always bring our own Twinings tea on cruises as we prefer it. Just bring me some hot water and all the sandwiches and cakes you have. Wait. Wait. I am worried what you just heard is bring me a lot of sandwiches and cakes. What I said is bring me all the sandwiches and cakes you have. Do You understand?
