  1. What happened on the Discovery last month was people who had reservations for a particular time and were told that the earlier seated diners were still having their meal and it would be a 30-45 minute wait. They then tried to enter at the reserve dining entrance. This was a ship that was at least 100% full if not more with tons of families and first time cruisers It seemed that unless you were in the first wave of diners or wanted to eat late there was going to be a wait regardless of your “reservation “
  2. When you are doing a 20-30 day cruise eating in one of a few specialty restaurants with the same menu every day just doesn’t give me the variety I would like. Just how I feel
  3. Regular mini suites don’t have reserve dining either
  4. If by TD you mean traditional dining with same table dame time same servers that does not exist on Princess anymore. If you are in a cabin with reserve dining then you can sometimes arrange this to a degree
  5. The lip of the tub is very high and for someone with multiple artificial joints it is very difficult. When we bought our current condo we took out the tub and put in a shower with a very low lip
  6. Our last few times there the food took forever to come out and was not very good food and lousy service
  7. I would boot your phone and see if that helps. This has worked for me before
  8. The Emerald is the only ship I have seen al a carte pricing at the Salty Dog. I think this is an experiment to see if it gets more customers as that venue has usually been sparsely attended on most ships I have been on since the restart. Heck mostly empty prior to the restart
  9. On the medallion net you can see todays menus also on your TV
  10. We are sailing that route in fall of 3024 and yes we received an email letting us know of the change
  11. You do realize there is no more traditional dining so you really don’t have a choice
  12. The concierge on the Discovery last moth told us he believed it would eventually be rolled out but no one really knew more but it would not include a suite lounge just someone you can call to get help with reservations etc
  13. They are only announced when you sit down for dinner. You will be handed a menu and then told what h the he extra entree is for that night. On sea days you may be able to talk to the manager at lunch and get early information
  14. There should be no print getting reservations once on board as long as you are flexible with meal times
  15. These irate passengers are probably the same ones who didn’t want to wait for a table in the MDR and tried to argue their way into the reserve class dining room since they saw empty seats. This happened every night on the Discovery over the 2 weeks I sailed her in June. I might mention that these cruises had a huge amount of first time cruisers but some were very insistent and rude. Some actually tried to push past the hostess
  16. We have found that by using bank ATM with out informationUS bank cards that we get pretty good exchange rates We avoid the exchange booths at airports
  17. My bet is that Roy will be handed a medallion on check in and then you will have to go to guest services to exchange it for a cruise card
  18. Car is one thing plane is another
  19. Arrival times haven’t neant anything for a long time. Priority boarding only means that you can sit in the priority boarding area until boarding starts
  20. That was in Florida. In Seattle it was a mess and there were no lanes or elite checkin lines
  21. You cannot get on a plane from a foreign country to the US without a passport. An American birth certificate is not going to impress security in a lot of countries
  22. I believe the poster is inquiring about changing from Plus to Premier on boarding
  23. And what are you going to steal my clothes ? If I saw them around ship I would recognize them
  24. I think it is more to streamline those who have their medallion There is no need to go to a counter. Just walk up to one of the podiums and scan passport and medallion and get on the ship
