We did a B2B2B in the same SS. We had different butlers and cabin attendants for each cruise. We were told that they are moved around to give each a turn in a different area. Contrary to belief the best donβt serve the higher end suites. It depends on what area they are assigned to. The reason they get moved is because of the location on the ship. Those closer to the elevators are easier than those further away. The size of the cabin also affects the work load. It is more work to do a Royal and Penhouse suite than regular veranda. The same with a Butler. In some areas they may have 10 cabins and another a few more. They may also change because their contract is up It is best to tip extra before the last night as you may not see them. On one cruise we were planning on giving a gratuity to the BT in the Retreat Lounge on the last night. We went there and the BT wasnβt there. They were in medical. The next morning we gave the envelope to the Retreat Host and requested to forward it to the BT. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

If you put in on a receipt it goes to that server, or BT. If you put in on a general extra gratuity form it gets pooled If you give a BT cash some with share with the other personel at that bar. You can witness that at the Martini Bar where they ring a bell and put it into a container I also seen it at the WCB, and Eden Bar where they have a container with tips in it. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

I recently sailed on the Equinox. All they had was MM, Buffalo Trace, Bulliet, Beam, and rot gut Ten High. I checked every bar and there was nothing other than that for bourbon. Unless you consider Jack. We were in a suite and the BT in the lounge said they would check. Nothing. They said it was a supply issue. We drive to FL from MI and stop at many Costcos and Total Wines. They all had plenty of Woodford, and other higher end bourbons that X use to carry and were included in the premium package. My local liquor store also has a ton of the same. The supply issue for Celebrity is they donβt want to supply it. The same for the wine selection. They donβt want to supply it. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Sign up for the Create and Pour I think it is where the Artist shows you how to make a easy simple sketch. You could call and ask. He demonstrated to to make a seahorse. It was very easy to do and fun. Plus the wines that was served helped a little Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

In Blu there is one extra table in the rows by the windows. The tables are so close that there is only enough space to change the table cloths. Some servers will treat the diners as if they are sitting at the same table when going over the menu. They will also reach over your shoulder to serve the person on the other side instead of walking around because of the distance , especially if you are sitting closer to the windows. We also were not impressed with Ralph Harris. For the same reasons you stated. It was just asking peo-me where they were from. The rest of his show wasnβt funny. I feel asleep and we didnβt go to his late night or encore show. We did a B2B2B2b2B on the Apex. After the first week we didnβt go to any shows except for those in the Club or Eden. I also agree with room service. We were also in a suite and had room service a few times. The food was always cold, Eggs Benedict over cooked like being hard boiled and most times something was missing. It was very cramped and not enjoyable because of the small table. I donβt see the fascination. It would be better to go to the buffet and sit at a table outside at the aft, or the Eden Cafe sitting outside for something different than Luminae. We found finally found it best to just ask for Americanos every morning and maybe a muffin or or pastry before going for breakfast. There was a artist on board by the name of Michael. He was part of the show in Eden. He had a wine and drawing class that is listed in the planner or in the Elite perk paper. I donβt remember but you have to sign up. If you see it be sure to go. It is fun and you have a nice souvenir of a drawing you made Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

If Elite or higher would you book cruise only?
miched replied to gordylad's topic in Celebrity Cruises
No. We do a few cruises a year and I want to every hour of it. We became Elite when they started the having the 4 perks and always had at least 3 of them on every cruise since. But If we lived close to port and cruised every month by taking advantage of cheap rates I would consider it. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
Because of the privacy laws they donβt make any medical issues public On our last cruise we were 25 NM from the port and the Captain made an announce that because of a medical issue we will head back to the port. We travels 7 NM back and were meet by a smaller boat that was escorted by 2 Coast Guard security type boats. I know the distance because we followed it on the bridge channel. Never heard what the problem was or the outcome On the same cruise a male in the buffet starting screaming that he needs help. He kept screaming and finally started yelling I need some efen help over here get some Efen help. Finally security and the medical department carried someone away on a stretcher. Never heard what happened or the outcome. The only way that you would ever know is if you knew the people affected. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Luminae dining can I invite my single cousin to join?
miched replied to Premier1vaCruiser's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We recently sailed on the Equinox in a suite. Agree with you. Many nights we would order from The MDR, or just have the the always available standard filet. Tried the always available chicken dish by that celebrity chef. Once and done. Try it but wouldnβt recommend it. It was chicken. Our issue may also be because we have been in Luminae many times. The menu is getting boring and since we have tried most of the entrees there are very few that we would order again. Nothing has ever really stood out. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
Breakfast Menu Has Disappeared From Blur in App
miched replied to manmachine's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Blu is open every morning. The only change is the operating times between a port day or sea day. The menu is the same everyday and as it has been for ages. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ -
From our experience that was always a joke. We had priorities for being in AQ and also Elite Plus. Most times those lines were longer. We would be directed to the shorter lines. They use to have a special section for the Elite and above to wait in and most times it wasnβt available or we didnβt need it. We would walk past it as we were boarding the ship. There was no reason to hang out there when we could board From our recent experiences having sailed on 8 cruises out of FL in the last year and half you should show up at the assigned time. You can arrive earlier but you will have to wait unless in a suite and you can board upon arrival. There may be some exceptions but I havenβt seen any This is my experience and others may have different ones. There is no right or wrong, or sealed in concrete. Take your chances. You may get lucky. What does Bellagio have to do with a cruise? Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Some do charge a fee. I booked once with a double A airline. They changed $25 pp for the booking and any changes after that I made. If I change my cabin to a different location it was $25 If I asked for the reduced price it was $25. I used them once and done Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

The TA that I use gives me group pricing and I can use my Future Cruise Reservation. I donβt use the discount warehouse. I am a member and just booked 2 cruises using my reservations. I checked the price at the warehouse and it was idiotic. They charged $600 more than the Celebrity rate and then gave $600 in a gift card. Why would I book with them? Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Never like seeing them except when we would get them in the mail. It is always a bad sign when on the ship. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

If that is the best view then why isnβt the Bridge there? π€·ββοΈ Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

I think suites get cloth bags. When we sail in a suite the bags are cloth. When in AQ they are paper. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

We were on the Summit and then sailed on the Constellation. Both were In Suites. We like Micheals club on the Constellation more. It seemed to be more luxurious and had a warmer atmosphere, the seats were also more comfortable. We spent many nights in there socializing with other guests. It turned into a little club where we would all meet every night and stay until they closed. The BT would constantly refresh our drinks when she seen we were getting low. It was a great time The Retreat Lounge on the Summit just seemed to have a cold atmosphere with seating from Ikea and not comfortable. We rarely spent time in there as it was always empty. We would get a drink and hang out but would leave because there were no other guests to socialize with. I have a few more cruises booked on the Constellation as I like the cabins that havenβt been ruined by Kelly and also because of Michaels Club I also donβt like how Kelly ruined the SS on the Summit. She eliminated a lot of storage and lighting. This is my opinion and I am sure other may disagree. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ

Would a 16-year-old enjoy the Celebrity Beyond on a holiday cruise?
miched replied to Sigyn's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Holiday cruises are overflowing with families. The average age is much younger than the typical cruise. The workers tell us that the ship sails with close to maximum capacity, that is 3 to 4 in every cabin. Those extra spaces are filled with children. I am sure that he will make friends to hang out with if he wants to. They have a teen program but many donβt like it because of the age range. My niece was 17 and said she didnβt want to be around 13 to 15 year olds. She said it wasnβt a good age to be on a cruise. She wasnβt old enough to be considered a adult and felt too old (mature) to be grouped with the teens. Being 16 there may be a problem if he wants to use the gym. I think the minimum age is 18. There may be exceptions if accompanied by an adult. I donβt really know as i donβt have to be concerned about not being old enough. Happy cruising. ππ’πΊπΈπ -
Tips on protecting valuables when in port/beach/excursion?
miched replied to NJRonbo's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
Be aware of anyone that approaches you to sell something. We were waiting in a bar patio at a resort in Mexico waiting to check in. We were having a drink at a table that was next to the beach. Our friend took off his shoes and walked in the sand to the water. While he was away we were approached by a hawk trying to sell us a timeshare. Our friend came back and couldnβt find his shoes. Apparently when the person was standing next to our table he slipped his feet into the shoes and then walked away with them. The thieves are pros and know all the tricks to take sometime while you are looking at them. They are like the illusionists. They can make stuff disappear in front of you. Happy cruising ππ’πΊπΈπ
