  1. I'm glad not to have experienced anything like that. Between the cruise lines' unpreparedness for returning passengers and what seems like a general decline in civility, patience and tolerance, more of this sort of behaviour may be in the offing.
  2. Discriminate between: recognize the difference(s); Discriminate against; make an unjust or prejudicial distinction in treatment.
  3. Maybe 'like a bad cold' for those people, but it's not and they're sharing ship space with others.
  4. I went into the area once on a Canadian Coast Guard ship; they (USN) squirreled us away in Cheatham Annex... I think Yorktown would have been a dream in comparison.
  5. You're welcome and enjoy your strolls around the ship. Now.... a burning question regarding the threading of screws manufactured 'down under'; to drive the screw in, do you rotate CW or CCW??
  6. How about some overpriced bus excursions to Williamsburg?
  7. Perhaps in the northern hemisphere but the OP is from New Zealand and rotation is different down there.... witness the flushing water in a toilet bowl.
  8. We always use the Air Canada website for check in, I find it provides a smoother, more complete experience.
  9. We completed the attestation on line with Air Canada when checking in the day before our flight. We did not print anything. Brought our vaccine record with us in case we were asked but we were not.
  10. On Cunard ships do you keep to the left hand or right hand side of the hallways?
  11. I suppose they could go with 'Taxed in Town' but other than the alliteration, it's not something that would favourably catch customers' attention.
  12. Me too... book Standard on Princess. Living in Canada though, no medallion shipping at any cost; I didn't expect Divine intervention on that and will just get it at the cruise terminal.
  13. I doubt there is a 1:1 relationship between the port taxes and fees compared to the potential fuel savings in the 'shore power' ports. Maybe the cruise line has passed along the reduced fuel costs by cutting everybody's fare by $2.
  14. I believe a free specialty dining is more or less scheduled by Princess, at their convenience. If you want a specific reservation, you'll have to do that when you are onboard and see the maitre d' to make sure it's not processed like a regular reservation (charged to your account).
