OMG! I Booked A Cruise Solo

Yesterday I received an email offer that was too good to be true. I just got off the phone with HAL and it is true. :D

I just booked the 47 day Tales of The South Pacific and all I have to pay is taxes, port fees and HSC. The cabin is free. Yeah, really gratis. It's a casino offer. I couldn't pass this up. Seriously, a 47 day cruise for a total of $757.51!!! I can even take a guest if I choose. And that price includes insurance. I know it is gauche to speak about pricing but hey, this is amazing.

It is like a small miracle for me as I never thought I would get the opportunity to take Virgil's ashes to Bora Bora as he wanted but saved some in case. Now I can. :)

I am so excited and somewhat intimidated as I've never cruised alone - but hey world here I come!

That really is an amazing offer especially for a solo!

I have cruised over 150 days as a solo and love it. I've found meeting people in advance on the roll call has been a fantastic help in not feeling alone. I still meet many non-Cruise Critic people onboard so I know lots of people by the end.

Hope you have a wonderful time!

Good for you. I know from experience what a huge step it is to take that first cruise alone.

I'm just finished my 4th and each has been better than the last.

I am so happy for you! All I can think of is that God works in mysterious ways ... you'll be able to do what Virgil asked of you. How wonderful is that??

When are you sailing?

9-27 thru 11-16. Not much time to worry

Oh Trisha, how wonderful :)

I am so happy for you.

And your ability to fulfill Virgil's wishes has no words to express.

I hope you enjoy every moment and am so glad that this has happened for you :)

I am happy to hear you will be cruising, and to your favorite places. You will do great, but I can imagine it is intimidating to try it for the first time. Fear not, you make friends easily. Carol:)
