Very HAPPY with GTY assignment!!

We booked a BB GTY and just received our assignment 22 days in advance! We were upgraded 2 categories to a midship B on the

starboard side, nice & close to the aft elevators. So pleased, hope it sticks!!

We often do the GTY cabins for two reasons:

1. A slightly lower price

2. the chance that you'll be upgraded to an even higher level.

 

I guess we're not fussy about the exact room that we get. We've been very happy with the ambiance of HA and it's kind of exciting to be surprised.

 

The only downside that we've had with a GTY cabin is that one time we got exactly what we paid for. LOL.

Sometimes also there's no choice. Examples would be segments of Grand or World Voyages which may only be available as guarantees to assure there are cabins available to those booking the full voyage. In that case it can be the difference between being on or missing what may be the voyage of a lifetime.
