PeaceLoveCruise Posted November 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2012 Someone reported over on the HMC ports of call board today that they had a lovely day on HMC today AND they are building five 2 story cabanas in between the existing ones? What?!?!?! I do miss the HMC of yesteryear! :( Anyone else?

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 15, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 15, 2012 If HAL is charing $400 for a single, plain cabana on HMC -- wonder what the price will be for a 2 story with hot tub will cost for a day??

EXACTLY what I was thinking when I saw them!!! Oasis went up to $1499 I think, and our hot tub DIDNT work, I will bet that they will be $799 or MORE. And they built the monster right next to our lovely little Gray cabana :(
vicocala Posted November 16, 2012 #8 Share Posted November 16, 2012 Either they will be multi-apartment or even grander oasis type buildings, I bet they get $2,000 a day or more for them total.

catl331 Posted November 16, 2012 #12 Share Posted November 16, 2012 Sounds like prices are getting out of hand. Last two times we were there, the cabana renters got washed out by rain about 1:30! If you are going to pay the high prices, you should be the first ones off the tender and get you money's worth!

Seavoyage Posted November 16, 2012 #23 Share Posted November 16, 2012 They are ruining that beautiful island. Last time we were there - folks in one of the cabanas were drunk, loud, obnoxious and ended up needing medical attention....this in front of their children - vacation indeed....wish they would stop adding these eyesores and leave the island alone....
