Trying to be Sensible, but... Price drop on CLS, gasp!

Hi all,

 

We board Allure on Sunday and today they are offering a Crown Loft Suite for only $1000. per person more than we paid for our Jr. Suite- gasp!!

 

There are many available, so I guess there is a very remote possiblity of buying the upgrade at check in or being automatically upgraded, but it is so rare. (I am diamond plus)

 

I'm trying the breathe and think of how nice the Jr. Suite is and how nice it would be to come home to an extra $1000. in my bank account to book my next cruise. But the idea of having a CLS is following me around like a puppy.

You are right - $1000 is another cruise! The JS is a fabulous cabin.

Keep the JS and put the amount towards your next cruise and when you do you will be really pleased you did it :D

Just think about the elevator ride to the 17th floor or the steps and that will kill the enthusiasm for the Crown Loft.

Wow, thanks everybody! I can breathe so much better now!

 

What I neglected to mention is that we are a group of 12 cruising together and my JS is only about 6 cabins from everyone else. To go from deck 11 to 17 would spoil some of the fun.

If it were $1k total I might bite... but $1k per person I agree with the others keep the JS & have an awesome time on Allure!

Seems like the CLS aren't booking like RCI assumed...I know I would also keep my JS even if the upgrade was a comp..not interested in this particular catagory at all JMHO :)

Keep the JS and then call C&A and beg, plead and weep for an auto upgrade...my friends got one...Oasis class has the odds for it! Good Luck...after all, all they can do is say no;)

Make sure your upgrade preferences online are set to automatic upgrades too :)

JS near family/friends... priceless

CLS for free... even more priceless ;)
