Rare Vict0riann Posted November 26, 2013 #176 Share Posted November 26, 2013 I was comparing the Noordam and Westerdam PC cruises for 2015, just slightly different ports, and one day less on Noordam. Prinsendam still has all her lights on on the bow. Boo.
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 26, 2013 #177 Share Posted November 26, 2013 This happened to us last spring on the Westerdam -- waiting to get luggage on the ship.. But the biggest hold up was supplies as we had a 20 day cruise.
Rare kazu Posted November 26, 2013 #178 Share Posted November 26, 2013 They couldn't coordinate the arrival of supplies better than this? I was going to suggest with Captain G there - the supplies better be top notch :D but perchance there is some problem getting them there??? don't know - but this is the latest departure I can remember in a long time. Mind you, if I was onboard it would be ok;)
rkacruiser Posted November 26, 2013 #179 Share Posted November 26, 2013 They couldn't coordinate the arrival of supplies better than this? I could not agree more with this statement. If I was the Port Agent, I would be furious! Whatever company is responsible for this would have lost a customer, if I was the Port Agent.
Rare kazu Posted November 26, 2013 #180 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Maybe they're searching for some good wine!! should we email them Total Wine's address:p:p

innlady1 Posted November 26, 2013 #184 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Maybe they're searching for some good wine!! Or maybe the Thanksgiving turkeys are still at the butcher...and they can't leave until they're all on board. ;)
KNOT2L82SAIL Posted November 27, 2013 #185 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Maybe she is getting ready??? Is that an escort boat waiting for her??? Hope so. Viewers are dropping, only showing 138.

aliaschief Posted November 27, 2013 Author #189 Share Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) They couldn't coordinate the arrival of supplies better than this? You have to consider the terrible storms that have been plaguing the country. Snow, sleet, ice, torrential rainfalls. Maybe some vital parts/supplies have been delayed. Edited November 27, 2013 by aliaschief
Rare Scrapnana Posted November 27, 2013 #190 Share Posted November 27, 2013 When P'dam was here in January she did not sail until about 10 p.m. Seems to be a pattern.
Rare Vict0riann Posted November 27, 2013 #191 Share Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) I may still be here - DH will want his dinner and then has to go to the AGM of his golf club, so possibly I will be around to watch. Sorry, Roy, your audience is drifting away! Edited November 27, 2013 by Vict0riann
mountainmare Posted November 27, 2013 #192 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I have a feeling that it may not be supplies for the passengers but repair, technical supplies. There is no way that food, beverages, laundry and cleaning supplies wouldn't either be there in advance or at least be able to get to the ship from Miami. In spite of the storms and a big holiday our stores are all filled to provide stuff for a lot of people, this must be ship specific.

Sorry, Roy, your audience is drifting away! I will keep my eye on things as long as I can but..... 11:30 is really pushing it for me here. I only stay up late on the ships as DH has to work tomorrow ;) In case, my thanks to Lou and Dave for the webcam Thanks to Chief for starting this thread and to the diehards here :D I'll be back as long as I can but for now, Mr. Marley needs to be taken care of. Roy, if you see this later - I hope to see you - best wishes for a fabulous voyage:D
Rare Scrapnana Posted November 27, 2013 #194 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I can't start packing for my cruise until I finish wrapping Christmas presents, so I guess I will go wrap some until it's time for her to sail.
gigianne Posted November 27, 2013 #195 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Those supplies must be super important!! Perhaps we will hear from Roy as to why the late departure.

In spite of the storms and a big holiday our stores are all filled to provide stuff for a lot of people, this must be ship specific. This may well be an accurate view. There, earlier, seemed to be some radio traffic concerning some technical matters, i.e. electricians and someone(s) working in one of the lifeboats. It was difficult to determine if the radio traffic was between the Prinsendam Bridge and the technicians or if it was coming from another vessel. I would hope that Roy, who is on the ship, will give us an up-date when he knows what is going on.
aliaschief Posted November 27, 2013 Author #197 Share Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) I'm going to have dinner with my wonderful wife, enjoy some time together, relax after a very busy volunteer day. Plus prepare to head to my daughters home for Thanksgiving. May all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, count your many Blessings (bet we can't count that high) and sign off. Roy, I do hope your enjoying dinner and cruise. Sorry we missed you but Ship happens. Very well could be a technical problem that we have no reason to know about. mamaofami Posted November 27, 2013 #198 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I dozed off and came back to see what happened and was surprised to find nothing. Going to have dinner now. rkacruiser Posted November 27, 2013 #200 Share Posted November 27, 2013 To Roy and all the guests aboard the Prinsendam, I hope this will be a great cruise. Where you will be visiting is very interesting and one of my favorite areas that I have cruised. Fair winds and following seas for all of you!
