We tried them first day. I had the ringer and loved it. There wasn't anything bad. We tried later in the week and I had a pig patty. It wasn't near as good. I didn't like the bacon, thought it was too dry. I also think the patty had sat awhile. It was dry. I would definitely eat again but would try to get fresh and no bacon.

I like them a little crispy around the edges - I want my ground beef well done!

While I do think this is a huge improvement to the Carnival food segment my biggest criticism is the crispy edges. It has been my experience that they tend to over cook the patties and create a crunchy texture that should only come from the produce and not the meat itself. Yes some say I am picky but it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Or the "tongue of the taster". :p

I have sailed with Carnival 43 cruises in only a few years. So I can really give a bit of new info on Guy's Burger Joint. Garbage, junk, burnt, terrible met , super thin. That is NOW. When Guys' Bur Joint started with Carnival you could not get enough of that burger. So juicy, excellent meat and made to perfection. It was the BEST burger you have ever eaten. Since then they have turned to total junk. The burgers are so thin you can actually see through them. They are totally crispy burnt. Taste terrible. The tell you can have one any way you want. Not true. That is not the burger just the toppings. I asked to have one thick and not squashed to a thin potato pancake type. They told me you cannot have a burger that way. How wonderful. I emailed Guy and never received any reply. Two weeks now. I th9ink thy just tossed my email.

As most restaurants that start up. For the first few months they are excellent then just go to hell with the quality and profit. I have no idea what Guy's agreement is with Carnival. I am sure it is very profitable. The less they spend on quality the more they pocket.I am sending this to Carnival also of which I think they will just toss it also. The burgers that are made on Carnival ships without Guy's Burger Joint are now far superior than Guy's. When I emailed Guy I said if I do not hear any reply I will post on Cruise Critic and give it to Carnival also. Interesting to see if anything changes. This year only 6 cruises and we will see.

I love guy's burgers. I would eat there everyday but I don't like to miss the other options for lunch. It is a shame they close at 6 though, as we would have to go up to eat at 5:50 if we wanted them for dinner and weren't going to the MDR that evening. They are greasy, but it's just the right amount of greasy for me. Plus they have jalepenos and I load that burger up with those and it's so yummy!

Interesting note, the Cruise Director said they served around 2100 patties on JUST the first day of my recent 8day Pride cruise  That's a lot of burgers!

That's because these days the patties are so thin you have to order three per person just to get a decent size burger.

I like to get a plate of fries, then walk over to Blue Iguana and get them covered with Carne Asada and cheese with all my favorite toppings. Like nachos but with fries instead of chips. .

I have to try this. Brilliant

That certainly wasn't my experience on Sunshine or Pride.

Absolutely! Now....this is NEVER going to happen....but IF we could get them cooked to order they would be darn near perfect. ;) :D

On the Sunshine if you went a bit after the lunch rush and asked they would cook you a burger that was not so well done.

We enjoyed Guys 2 of the 8 days we were aboard. Probably would have done another 1 or 2 if the Sunshine didn't have so many different choices of lunch venues.

I did a review and see it nowhere. There burgers are now trash junk. If you want a super thin burger you can see through and burnt than these are for you. When Guys' were first started on the Carnival ships they were a burger you could die for. With over 3600 calories for each, some maybe did. However, over the last few years they have been getting real terrible. I sent an email to Guy and never received any reply. He probably could care less as long as he keeps getting paid by Carnival. I figured it just might be that ship. Wrong. the last five Carnival cruises that had Guys' on it. The were all the same. I asked to have one for myself that was thick. I got a normal sized burger burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. That tells me they have that grill so hot as to cook thin ones fast. The meat is nowhere near as good as when they started. I emailed Carnival and the reply was. Talk to the person in charge on the ship. All ships are doing it. I think that is a order handed down from the top. I just got off the Celebrity Summit. That burger was not only cooked perfect, it was delicious. Excellent taste and the meat was first rate. Nothing special. Just a darn good berger. The frys were super hot and very tasty. Carnival. Go back to the regular burgers. Get rid of the junk.
