If you could take one 10-12 night cruise what would it be?

Trying to decide what to do for next year and we are torn. I would like to see Hawaii but Celebrity is not going to a few ports I want to see. DH would like to go to Asia but not sure I want to. I also would like to see Greece!

Where would you go if you had 10-12 nights to spend on a Celebrity ship?

59 cruises. I would do any cruise that does Santorini, Mykanos, Capri and Venice. Best cruise. Baltic is also one that many people say is the best. A third one was the west coast wine cruise if you do not have time to fly to Europe. All are great. Have fun.

Italy is a must, along with Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey and Greece. I was personally disappointed in Santorini; we did a private tour of the entire island and much of it was very depressed, with shells of cement buildings standing along the way. You don't need to do the entire island!!! Also, 14 days is much better!!!

Not surprised that the islands of the Med were included. We did the Med tour many years ago. Did Barcelona and Italy. We personally have been to Italy many times as I want to retire there for a year or two. But Greece has been on my mind for years.

Thank you all for your input it is so appreciated.

I love these boards and have learned so much about cruising and traveling over the years.

Agree 14 days is better, but 10 is better than 7. :)

I would love to do a B2B of 14/15 day lengths. Not sure where though. I would like to do the Med. Have not done that yet, but also want more time in Med ports.

You eliminated some of our favorites by stopping at 12 nights.

We loved the 11 day British Isles cruise. Also, you might like the 8 day Baltic cruise or a Med cruise.

If you can pull off a 14 day, do the Panama Canal and especially a cruise around the Horn of South America.

TAs are fun and cheap.

Eastern Med including Santorini and Efes in Turkey. Norwegian fjords. Or if you add a couple of days (and more $) the Antarctic cruises. Our Antarctic on Azamara was the best experience of our 14 or 15 cruises (assuming you like penguins, whales and icebergs).

Lots of super great suggestions on this thread. Agree 100% for how wonderful it can be from charming Barcelona to places such as Venice, Italy, Greece, etc. As noted in the live/blog below, we just got off of the Solstice in February while doing another great option with Australia and New Zealand. Check out these postings for more info/background on this nice ship, its entertainment, food options, Med and down under ports, etc.

Below are just a few quick samples for why the Greek Isles can be so spectacular. Lots of excellent history, scenery, etc., there.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Did a June 7-19, 2011, Celebrity Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of nice visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 166,683 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at:

Just back from doing a 14-day Celebrity Solstice, Jan. 20-Feb. 3, 2014, Sydney to Auckland adventure on this ship and getting a big sampling for the wonders of "down under” before and after this cruise. Go to:

Here’s a sampling of the narrow, flowered street in Mykonos in the Greek Isles with its many shops. The streets were made so narrow in order to fend off pirate attackers. It is an island with lots of history and legend dating back thousands of years, including connections to ancient Greek mythology. Ionians settled on Mykonos in the early part of the 11th century BC. As Delos developed as a sacred center, Mykonos was under the influences of the different people, including Phoenicians, Macedonians and Athenians. With the rise of Alexander the Great, the fate of Mykonos became a commercial center for agriculture and maritime trade. Mykonos flourished with enormous wealth during Roman occupation during the reign of Augustus Caesar. During the Middle Ages, Mykonos fell under the Venetians and later were victimized by the Saracens and latter the Turks. Starting in the 1950’s, its unique architecture, seclusion and hospitality have made it a haven for the rich and famous.:

This harbor view in Mykonos shows one of the charming windmills. From as early as the 16th century, these are one of the most recognized landmarks of Mykonos. The island is 33 square miles in size and has a population of 9,300, mostly in its main village.:

On the opposite side of the Mykonos village on the island, here's a sampling of the beachside activities. This includes Agrari, Elia and the long sweeping Kalafatis beach that has become famous to wind surfers. The second picture is from Elia Beach.:

;)Canada/ New England, but prices are so high and mostly booked out for 2014 & 2015 are not on the website yet.

We've done most of the above, I would love to circumnavigate Australia and also return to Hawaii, but I need to win the lottery first, as air fares really add to the price, so I may settle for the British Isles.

As you can see by my answers, it doesn't really matter, except that I AM ON A SHIP!

There is an outstanding repositioning Canada/NE itinerary next October 2015 on the RCI Serenade of the Seas. i realize it is not Celebrity but about half the price with outstanding ports. Filling up quickly, though, the roll call is already over 100 pages!

Which cruise is so full on the Serenade of the seas for October, 2015?

I checked the roll call for the October 7 cruise because I thought that would be the most popular for fall foliage and there are only about 14 posts. Maybe it is the later one. I think going on the October 19 cruise would be too chilly.

I wish it was a round trip New Jersey cruise as I have heard flying to/or from Quebec is expensive although I haven't checked yet.

We did a Canada/New England 11 night cruise in 2006 on the Celebrity Constellation and we loved it. Loved the ports. Quebec City was the only port that we had terrible weather and it was very cold with bad wind and rain, but we went out and about anyway. I would like to do it again. Thanks for the tip.

I will have to remember that RCCL release cruises earlier than Celebrity!

Thank you. I am so surprised that the October 19 cruise is more booked than the October 7 one. Having gone there before on October 7 also the colors were great. I would think October 19 would be getting a little late for the fall foliage colors.

The one I'd love to repeat is the Holy Land Cruise on the Silhouette in 2011. We spend 4 days in Rome, then 12 nights on that beautiful ship, with port stops in Athens, Santorini, Haifa for four nights, and Naples. I sure wish Celebrity would bring back that itinerary. I'd be on it in a flash.
