LIVE From the ALLURE, 11 Jan 2015, With Trainman-2, Judith, and LYRIC

What do you not see in this photo?

This is the smoking area on deck 15 near the Pool Bar.

At 5 am this morning, NO ASHTRAYS!

But a quick check of the area revealed their location where they had been put to drip dry after cleaning.

YES! I grabbed one, hauled it to my table, and declared the Smoking Area to be OPEN!

There are only two smoking areas on the Allure:

- The Port side of the Pool deck

- The Casino

We are in a Handicapped (Accessible) cabin on deck 6, port side, #6236

Storage is very limited, the closet is tiny, and there are only a few (2) drawers.

This cabin is 50% wider than a regular balcony cabin.

Here are two photos of our balcony which is very nice.

The Caribbean VORTEX

There are two of these, one on each side of the ship at the entrance to the rear elevator banks.

The wind really funnels through this area and it is difficult to walk through.

This is definitely a no hat zone.

Now that we can't smoke on the Balconies, the most likely place to find us will be in the smoking area on the pool deck near the Pool Bar.

Of course, with Lyric along we will also be spending time on the non-smoking side near the Kiddy Pool with her Mom.

We are so looking forward to seeing how Lyric reacts to the Allure. A 6 year old's first cruise will be on the biggest ship in the World!

Poor kid no where to go but down. Try toping the Allure.

Lyric is so adorable! I bet she'll be everyone's favorite. I love the picture of her sitting with her hands in her lap, watching the maitre d' cut up her food. Actually, that kids plate looks perfect! DH always want to go to those all-you-can-eat-meat restaurants, but I just don't like that much meat. I wonder if they'd let me order one of those. We're trying to get back on Allure -- it's been our favorite ship so far -- but it's just not in the cards anytime soon.

We are all split up today!

Ally and Lyric did the Character Breakfast this morning and are all over the pool deck today.

We met up with Kathie and Jack and had lunch at Johnny Rockets today. They put out a little snack tray when we were seated. They refilled it for us too.

We were having such a good time talking that I forgot to take photos of our food but every thing was pretty good.

We are on the ship with you! This is our very first cruise, ever! It's raining again so I thought I would look for some Allure reviews and here we are! After the Packer win yesterday, we knew this was going to be a great trip!

We did "My Time Dining" tonight for the first time ever and were impressed!

We showed up at 6 pm for our reservation and were seated immediately.

Lyric was treated like a little Queen and really, we were all treated as if we were special.

I had the Filet of Beef which is one of RCI's best Offerings. As always, it was excellent!

Judith had the Alternative New York Strip Steak which was Excellent also!

Lyric has a ball! She has never experienced "fine dining" before.

Service was excellent! The courses were served promptly as soon as the plated from the last course were removed.

When it was all over I asked for the "Head Waiter" and complemented him on his staff, the cooks, and the excellent food.

It was a great experience!

We found as long as we went early we were always seated quickly in MTD. We were also able to sit with same staff each night. My son loved the crumber at end of dinner so much our waiter presented him with one our final night! He also got to serve the deserts one night. They do treat kids well!
